Which AF 50 on the K-1?

Sell all and buy the Fat Fifty DFA*50....

The K1 sensor maybe could be as demanding as the K3 sensor, but now you will going to use thw whole circle and maybe they wont cut in the corners, other option can be the DA*55

The answer will be test all the 50 and look what lens is sharper at maximun aperture.

On the Cheap/Quality, i think nothing get close to the ones Adorama Sells, the EZ Glow line, i have their deep parabolic and its very nice (miles ahead of the Neewer, quality wise)

If you need to try, give those modifiers a chance

---------- Post added 03-08-19 at 08:51 PM ----------

Point given, Neewer C-stand arent Mathews, Kupo or Avenger C-Stand, but cost less than half their cost, and the quality its good, not awesome but fair taking in mind the cost, they will last a lot of time, but arent as good looking as the other brands, but it will do the job[COLOR="Silver"]

The Neewer C-stands are very good stands against their cost, smetimes theyre on sale in amazon, theyre definitly more costly (less than 100usd) but cheap in the C-stand world

If the dials and logos AOCO or Asashi Pentax where on silver/nickle/chrome... it could look better.

I mean, its not bad, not great, but i respect the time and care he/she put to paint the camera

Too rich for me, anyway.

I tend to upload medium quality images on Instagram (mostly because, i cant post at higher resolution) as im an enthisiast who do not make money out of this, the weird 3 times someone ask for pictures (usually the same people who are in the picture) i gave them HQ version of the images, those who prefer a cheap screenshot of the image, i think they can take it at low quality cause they do not ask for a better file

Im not monetizing or selling, so smugsmug is out of the question, maybe if i could sell enough just to pay the membership (same with flickr) i maybe use them, i do not use Flickr, i use it before to upload and share trough blogspot, but the limit (even if enough for me) make the whole thing more complicated.

Facebook i use it for personal things, so there goes anything from my cellphone to the camera and ramdom pictures

I was thinking on the new "D"-FA 28-105.... my bad

Still, it may be not viable "economical speaking" repairing or send them to repair (even possibly to repair), i do not have experience with that lens so im not familiar the kind of image quality the lens can produce on those FL range

If the lens is new or still in warranty, semd it back or call the warranty, its not normal and forcing the lens can potencialy do more damage

Pentax-D FA* 50mm F1.4 SDM AW or Sigma 50mm F1.4 EX DG?

I havent used the Sigma, i only have the DFA*50, so far, my best prime lens and my secon best lens overall (i really prefer the DFA*70-200 due portrait purposes) but focuses way faster and with more confidence than any other lens i have

You may have seek for comparision against the Sigma vs Tokina Opera (Pentax rebrand) and look for more opinions in the Canon/Nikon world

Elinchrom Transmitter PRO for Pentax

I must say that Godox (at their "AD" Line) is pretty much in the limit of my "i can strecht out and purchase" budget... Elinchrom is just way too much rich for my wallet (as im an enthusiast, not a payed pro)... but...

Im glad to know that a Big name is in for Pentax (very, very late, but nevertless in), maybe those guys can use their equipment with an affordable 645z

My advice is go for a AD200 or a AD600BM... they cost more, but are powerfull and can be taken to location if needed... those SK300/400 are good, but you need a 110v conection

K1 users: what lenses do you use?

I have a love/hate thing with the DFA* 70-200, i mean, its an awesome lens, but heavy and impossible to not be noticed with a 1 foot black tube on a big camera, the second most used lens is the DFA*50.... i wish the 70-200 will be as fast as the 50 to focus...

And while i have the 31, DFA24-70 and DFA15-30 to cover wider frames.... i prefer the 50 as my walkaround lens.... if i could only bring 1 lens that would be, if 2 lenses the 50 and 70-200... if i could bring 3 the third would anyone expected to be used like the fisheye 11-17mm (lightweight and at 15mm is usable on K1) or the 31, maybe the 15-30 (its big and heavy) if the 15mm rectolinear was mandatory plus 2.8 constant

PS. I like and prefer portraits

The firmware on the flash is updated? Im only used the X-PRO on AD200 and AD400, i updated the AD200 (they work with HSS and M mode, but not TTL before the update)

If the camera, transmitter, and flash are updated, try someone who may have other Godox Trigger (any brand) to see if the flash work properly

Time to upgrade the K10D

If possibly i would say go for the KP, it will have better noise control at high ISO and the AF chip will be a lot better, when i change the K30 (older Safox than the K70) to the K3 (same AF chip from the KP) it was a huge improvement in low light scenarios... and while you are in the KP ballpark, a used K1 can be close to the price... i mean, you took the time to upgrade the K10D, why not spoil yourself with a camera?, you deserve that

11-18 and revamped 35mm F2 on january 31?

No, but new customers wont be too amazed with a screwdrive 35mm, or say, look! Pentax release and affordable 35mm with fast AF... Nikon and Canon have they STM (old, but quiet fast motor), and possibly the 1st option once those peoples think to ride off their kit lens, almost no one, will think to go for a "L" lens or a "DFA*", i think RIcoh needs this 35mm and maybe a revamp FA-50, but with a small improvement over the screwdriver

I hope i be wrong, but the 35mm can steal the show against the 11-18 because the old 35 screwdriver "new" lens

Im more interested on the DFA*85

Idk, im not in the game for that 35mm, or the 11-18mm so... as rude it may sound... i could care less

But i agree with those who say, the revamped 35mm show that Pentax dont have anything new to show... if they put a DC/PLM/SDM in the 35mm, the new version could talk about RICOH bringing new tech on their lenses, but a screwdriver show more of the same and nothing new to atracct new costumers (maybe a new more affordable FF and some affordable and "quiet" lenses 35mm/50mm)

Godox; XPro-P & AD600Pro in HSS & TTL

I use the Godox Xpro-P with a AD400Pro and 2 AD200, so far they work as they should, with no problems, recently i bough a X1T-O for a M3/4 camera (OMD E10) and both system works with the same light (even at the same time, not that i need to use of that feature but i tried and it work)

Regardless Cactus, i never use the triggers, i used the Youngnuo YN560III with a YN560TN (work in normal Sync) i think in bought the Cactus V6II and use with the YN560 but few days after i was serching the cactus, the XPRO-P was announced and i wait and im happy with the outcome, the cost of the triggers while still low tha the AD400, the power and less pieces in game was more attractive idea

I think if they offer big and heavy lenses for their "small" mirrorles, very quickly their customer will want to come back to the DSRL for size/weight balance, and give medium size lightweigth lenses it will make a difference againt the DSRL mount, worst case scenario the Z user only need to purchase the adaptor and use the fast and heavy lenses... Nikon user can have both mounts in the Z camera.

Sony star the same way with medium aperture lenses

The thing is... The "z" mount is new and theres an adaptor, Pentax dont have that, its not that we demand Pentax release right know several lenses, its the lack of info about the release the reason most of us arent happy...

My plan is to wait for the new 645 to be released to the plublic, that way the 645z will drop in price and make the 645D even more cheaper and maybe i can get one 645D if they hit the 1.5k average price margin (cause i will need money for one portrait lens)
