Australian shoppers buying clothes and browsing the new renovation to the Westfield shopping centre, here in Carindale. Natural light streams in from a window on the roof and although the bodies were moving, their feet were momentarily stationary.

My early morning stroll here in Australia, with the DA 40mm
It was very cold, cold morning
All photos are non-hdr, and shot without a tripod.

Stand Tall
I was a bit bored with UMAT practice, so I went for a walk - on a search for a new desktop background. This is an abnormal stalk, stemming from a bush that is frequently trimmed - no tall poppy syndrome here.
Taken with a Pentax K-x (looking to upgrade soon, though being a student, im a bit tight on money at the moment) and a DA 40mm Limited
No major processing done - only a little tonal adjustment (no vignette added)

40mm and the Pentax K-x
Great colours indeed

His eyes were very beautiful and morning light was lovely in the shade.

I love the first shot! Did you use a polarising filter?

Would you like some tea?
This is exactly what I do during assignment time... (i am in grade 12, looking to do medicine)

taken HANDHELD with no post processing ;)
(I held the camera in my right hand and the jug in the left)
lighting setup: a cheap, warm lamp to the left, and the built-in flash
Captured with the Pentax K-x i have had for 2 years now, and the amazing DA 40mm Limited Lens
Enjoy~

This sounds great! My budget is really very small though, how much would this camera be looking at?
Is your 15mm on sale as well? ;)

Would non-water resistant lenses and a K-x handle the environment? I dont want to spend too much !
Filters - People talk about getting larger filters with step down rings; My two lenses are 52mm and 49mm.
Should I get a 77mm? because that would look a bit weird hey - what size would you go for?

Hello Everyone,
I currently have a Pentax K-x, 18-55mm, and DA 40mm limited lens
I have no filters, no accessories whatsoever
I am going on a skiing trip to New Zealand, where I will ski and sightsee with a bunch of friends, for 5 days.
What equipment do I need?
Should I be looking at a K-5? a Tamron 70-200 for action shots? 15mm LTD?
What lenses would be great for this kind of thing?
Filters of some sort? tripods?
Will my camera body and lenses handle the cold and the snow?

I actually think that a Pentax full frame mirrorless camera should use the same K mount
