The statue ones alone were really a stunning set of images, but this last one has a very interesting perspective, It tells the story the others ones could not. Perfect!

Love the colors here... whites not blown out, tad of yellow in the middle and darkened background. Very pleasing to my eyes! Nicely done touch of the tropics!

Janse,

We just lost our snow here a few weeks ago! Seeing yours gave me shivers! When do you normally start seeing flowers there?

You caught him indeed! Also caught his reflection as well! Nice pic! The lighting behind his reflection is intriguing with that straight edge....looks like a window !

Macro Spiderlings

I went out for a walk this morning on a trail . I was hoping for some wood frogs or birds to photo. It was a pretty disappointing trail. Not much going on....so after a few miles I turned around and headed home. I got within 2 min of the parking lot and saw a tree stump that looks shiny. Like covered in Ice. It wasn't Ice. It was nest of tiny little critters. I didn't have a tripod with me, but hand held FA 50 2.8 Macro.

Didn't see the mother, so have no idea what kind of spiders these are. They were probably eggs over the winter that hatched. Kind of funny, I walked past these and missed them, Hiked 3 miles depressed that there was nothing really spectacular to take pics of and stumbled on these at the beginning of the trail!

The First gull is really crackin, nice red legs and Bill. We don't have any like that here , but if we did, I'd be shooting it! The next image really does look like it got into something, poor fella. I have never seen a gull with its feathers like that otherwise.

We tease him about how Snarky he can be... so I figure this is fair enough.

A few pics from a visit to a CT State park,Southford Falls.... It used to be a thriving industry/mill site in the late 1800's, but it has long since gone wild. Just the water, and stones remain.

Guess I need to eat more cheese! Thanks for looking and the info. This cheese wheel was a Pecorino... Heres a second for you..

IMGP1220

I wish I had more time on this one, but the natives wanted to massacre it.. So it was a quick snap shot.

The other cheese here is Scamorza, and the round things are Pepper Biscuits , a family tradition.
