Ask and ye shall receive. I ran the same test vs. PTlens and, again, my profile does a better job with CA and vignetting but is virtually equal in correcting geometric distortion. The interesting thing here is that the author of PTlens created his profile for the DA*60-250mm lens from a custom set of my calibration photos (jpegs). I can only conclude that the adobe program does a better job (at least with vignetting and CA) but PTlens is still very good. Maybe it has to do with the fact that PTlens uses only one image set (single aperture, multiple focal lengths, jpegs) for calibration?

FWIW, the attached profile was done similar to the DA*16-50 except that I used 3 focal lengths (60, 170, and 250mm) X 4 apertures (4,5.6,8, and 11) X 2 focus distances = 24 raw image sets (5-16 images per set).

Oh yes, sorry, I shot an entire series at six evenly spaced focal lengths (16mm-50mm) X 4 spaced aperatures from F2.8 to F11 for a total of 24 image sets with 9-12 images in each. Then I added a second longer focal distance series at 16mm, 33mm, and 50mm X 4 equally spaced apertures from F2.8-F11 as above for another 12 image sets. I did not go above F11 on any series, per adobe's instructions. I used a 27X39 grid printed on letter sized paper. It was lots of work but I am very happy with the results and I am glad to share here.

I plan to do another lens calibration with the DA* 60-250mm and compare it to PTlens as well. I will upload it here if it comes out anywhere near as well as the 16-50mm series did.

Here is another Adobe Lens Creator profile generated from my new DA*16-50 zoom lens on a K-7 body (raw). FWIW, I compared the results to PTlens and found that geometric distortion correction was almost identical but vignetting and CA were much better corrected in my version which was a pleasant surprise since I like PTlens a lot.
