I'm not sure why #15 didn't remove that streak on the left bottom of the picture ? It's very distracting and takes away from the peaceful mood.

There seems to be a big (?) Question Mark when it comes to the Sales of Ricoh products for the remaining 3 quarters, so this chart is unreliable.

When I first got my K-5 IIs I had problems with the reds also. They looked more like scarlet than red. The problem was I had the camera set to "Vivid", when I switched to "Natural" I didn't have that problem, or rarely had that problem.

Nikon D7000 trumps Pentax K-5....

Actually I have both cameras. I bought the Nikon D7000 last year, because I have a bunch of old Nikkor manual lenses that have been sitting on the shelf. Both cameras are great cameras, but if I could only keep one, I would have to go with my Pentax K5 IIs. To me its a simpler camera to use and the features fit better with my style of shooting(whatever that is ?) . The Pentax images come out of the camera a little bit more saturated, clearer, with better colors than the Nikon. I had to change the Picture Style on the Nikon to "Vivid" then boost the Saturation and Contrast by a couple of notches just to get the equivalent. Shooting RAW the pictures look flat on the Nikon. The Pentax also has better weather sealing, is smaller but better built and just feels good in my hands. The thing the Nikon got over the Pentax is better choice of lenses and repair services...

K5IIs Perfect Camera for Me, Except the Low Light Focus Thing, Alternative?

You might try using the center focusing point (only) when it comes to focusing in low light. Focusing down to -3EV is actually pretty good, only a few higher end models can go down that low.

I only do mechanical watches - first one that's not Swiss.

This one is not Mechanical, but its my first Swiss made watch. This is the older 1990's model and is only 38 mm. The newer model is 42 mm. Sorry, but I don't go over 40 mm which means I have to pick my watches very carefully these days. I picked this one up on eBay, the box was not included. That is a Seiko box. I only had it for 2 weeks and have been comparing it to computer-time, plus my most accurate all-mechanical watch. So far so good, it is pretty accurate for an old watch, only losing a few seconds each day.

Luminar 4

When I renewed my subscription to Smug Mug a few weeks ago, I got an offer to download a free version of Luminar 3. Actually I never heard of Luminar 1 or 2 ? In any case, the download was not really "Free". It was a 7 day Trial version. Meaning you had "exactly" 7 days to try it out, whether you used it or not. To me its an easier version of Lightroom . No Export/Import functions which a lot of people including myself have problems with. The package took too damn long to download in my opinion and even worse, took too long to open at least on my computer. Some of the functions were also a little slow which activated the hour glass on my computer. I'm guessing that for $69 some people who do not have Lightroom, might be very happy with this software. After all it is way cheaper and performs most of LR's basic functions. The Compare feature is also pretty nice. Since I have LR already on my computer I think I'll pass though. I need to buy another lens pretty soon anyway.

Why do my night photos look pastel

Great ideas. I'm going to go back to the same spot tonight since its not going anywhere and try all these solutions(bracket, expose for highlights, even change the shooting mode to mute) to see what I get. However I must point out that I don't get the Pastel Colors with different brand cameras(i.e. Canon). So I'm guessing it's something about the Sony sensor. This one here came out OK, although with a little post processing.

Why do my night photos using the K5 II look pastel ? Is there something I can do about this like using another shooting mode ? Currently I use the "Natural" shooting mode for everything. During the day, i am more than satisfied with this mode, but at night it seems like the Sensor is having problems recording the right colors. I have included some attachments to show you what I mean.
