I'm glad you said that. What is the point of having almost infinite JPEG presets, as we do with the K-x, when you then disregard them by fiddling with the RAW image?

This is the most sensible comment so far. And not just because I do the same!

I was thinking of these nickel zinc batteries, which are not rechargeable: Link |

I know disposable batteries are not politically correct atm, but (purely for research purposes) how do NiZn disposables compare to lithium ones?

I liked the second one- it was a fun to read and unlike so many reviews I didn't have to cheat by missing out the boring bits!

How about the battery problem which they've highlighted? 24 hours and they're depleted? I used to be an AA supporter, but since acquiring my GX10 and Optio S12 I've defected to the Li-on opposition.

Pentax couldn't celebrate diversity more than it's doing with the K-x!

I would say the K-x, subject naturally to good reviews. (But then it's a Pentax so it must be excellent :)). The K20D of course doesn't take AAs.

The K-x is much lighter than the K10D, about 200g I believe. For me that would be an advantage. If you're reading this Santa.....:)

Looks a nice shirt, but the wording reads (to me) :PROUD PENTAX IAN. I am not, and have no wish to be, an Ian

I have the same camera and lenses, plus the Tamron 18-250, which I tend to use most of the time. I fancied the K10D, so when the GX10 was offered cheap, I purchased. It's a nice camera, but much heavier, and I find the GX10 with the 18-250 too weighty to carry around all day. But then mindglow you may be younger and fitter!

Hi- I've just taken delivery of a GX10 and guess what? I have the same 'problem'. So I called Samsung, and they say it's normal (but then they would, wouldn't they ? :hmm:)

I'm thinking about getting the E50 or E60. They're about the same price (in the UK). The E50 has 8MP, the E60 has 10MP. Steve's site gave the E50 a reasonable review but the E60 was not so good. The are 2 things (to me) in the 60's favour: it's a more recent model (so one assumes is better) and it's available in black (and thus a real camera!). Against this is the fact that 10MP are rather a lot for the tiny sensor). Any advice please? Thanks.

But GGR, Brad's first hit was 'Who Needs Pictures?" Not really in keeping with this forum. And even worse, the first line is : "There's an old Kodak camera in my dresser drawer"
Never mind, he's a great guitar player, and his singing isn't bad either. I saw him in London a few years ago.
Very nice pics.

Hi- Nice to be a member of this illustrious forum. I have to admit to not yet owning a Pentax, though I'm very tempted by the current price of the K100, and could well purchase one at any moment. (I don't feel too guilty though, as my g/f has an ME Super, bought many moons ago).
