Yes, the Full Frame Foveon (FFF) is delayed unfortunately. SIGMA is starting from scratch with the development. In the meantime we'll have to manage with devices such as the legendary SIGMA SD-1 Merill or the (in my opinion) excellent SD QUATTRO (H). Which is not exactrly a bad thing.

Hi fiveseven good to see another Foveon fan on this page! Good to keep this page alive! While we wait patiently for the Foveon Fullframe....

I got a SD Quattro and a DP2 Quattro last year and ever since I love it so much that, even though the SA mount is now history, I got some lenses for it, both new and old. Like you I have found that the old manual glass (via m42 to SA adapter) renders with a green tint. Where it is too much, I convert to black and white. Lovely images nevertheless; it is the film like look, the colours and extreme detail that i like, and that even my K1mkII struggles to match sometimes.

Love to see more of your work and impressions.

Thank you for all the kind reactions!

Yes, I took the cover off deliberately for the effect of the 'strip tease'. Or, as a friend of mine said; it is like a woman lying in bed, only partly covered ;)

The SIGMA cameras are very special indeed. The operating window is extremely narrow, like iso 100 to 200 narrow, but when it works, wooaahh it really shines. Especially reds and greens out of the Foveon sensor are amazing.

Spotted this wonderful car in a garage in Madrid. As a rallycar this model dominated the rally championship for several years in 80/90's, after the demise of the infamous Groupe B. During the long production run Lancia built some 'special' models, and if I am correct this is an Evo I.

Captured with a SIgma DP2 Quattro. I love the red. So deep and rich. Typical Foveon sensor at work here, and a testament to why (for a certain groupe of people) these cameras have such an appeal.

Wonderful Delta Intergrale Evo 1 in a garage in Spain. I spotted this car last year, and it had been sort of neglected with loads of dust on it. Made a picture of it with my GRII, which can be found on my flickr page. This year the owner had the good fortune (and or time) to restore the car a little.

Sigma DP2 Quattro at work. Showing of the selling point of the Foveon sensor: the colours. This red is deep and rich and is straight out of camera. My editing software DxO wants to change it, but I won't let it; It is exactly the way the red should be (in my eyes).

Amazing shot of the flower; such a sharpness, colour and depth to it. Well done Mr. Bassie!

Good thing about the SIGMA DP series: they are smaill cameras. Even the Quattro's. For my trip to the south of Spain I took a GRII and a DP2 Quattro (oh and a Ricoh WG-M2 action cam for fun). All in a small bag.

If you are ever in the Cadiz - Tarifa area, don't forget to visit the beaches at Bolonia. One of nicest I have ever seen.

Hello Unfiltered Friends of the glorious Pentaxforums! These Foveons are addictive. Aftrer de SD Quattro I recently picked up a well used DP2 Quattro and DP1s....

This image below is from a little trip I made to the Eifel in Germany a couple of months ago. Beautiful nature and historical towns, such as Monschau.

Recently I was offered a Sigma sd quattro, and, being intrigued by the concept for some time now, I jumped on it. Call me crazy, with the recent anouncement concerning the L mount, but it was a very good offer, and I believe that Sigma will support and sell SA lenses for some time. You can of course never sure, and when it comes to cameras; Sigma is a very special company.

Now unfortunateley the light overhere hasn't been good (awful in fact, and this sensor as we all know needs loads of light if handheld) so just a quick B&W photo of my son.

Shooting experience reminds me a little about the Pentax K-01 I had earlier, but I am still learning... When you get it just right, it is awesome...

There's something going on with that old sensor...and I mean that in a positive way.

On the occasios that is I use my old rogue GX20, I always find it extremely satisfying to get good images out of it. And if one is careful it is actually not that hard. This (fan)page is a testament to that. I hope I can use it for years to come even though I have the allmighty K1II as welll...

Just to say thanks for such a wonderfull gallery. And a little contribution to this page that celebrates the K20D ( or in my case the GX20). Still use it now and then, just like the K10D.

Bought an old battered Sigma 20mm F1.8. My expectations were low... Turns out it's a great lens on my K1mkII. It does not have the micro contract and superduper sharpness of modern DFA lenses, but it is much better than expected.

Last weekend I visited the Louwman automotive museum in The Hague and the impressive exhibition of the famous 1950s Mercedes-Benz "Silver arrows" racing cars. I messed the settings up a bit in this shot, but still came out allright (after PP).

Went on holidays to Spain and grabbed my Q7 kit. Finally had some time to fool around with the Yashica 13mm cine lens. If you like swirly bokeh this set up will certainly provide it.

Dear Pentax Q users,

The day before yesterday Mattias Burling posted a very nice video on Youtube on the Pentax Q and Qs1 and all the lenses. It's a very nice and well made video and well worth the watch. His thoughts concerning the system are of course no surprise to us Q users, as we have known the merits of the Q system for long time. However, Ricoh itself seems to have forgotten. Please, Ricoh Imaging take note...!!
