K-30 do have serious problems!

Thank's for help, my problem is that when I buy an used body, I should know that there is the right solenoid made in Japan and for sure rather in the apperture system than for the flash. The bodies are not normally opened for checking, so I should know what I buy. There was one working K200D for 50€ and one K7 not working properly because of display problem for 30€, so the only one for repair work is the K200D.

What about K200D and K7, with Japanese solenoids or Chinese?

So, if we accept that the Chinese solenoid don't work for ever, so which bodies I should try to buy from where I can be sure I get the right solenoid for replacement?
Is it important to buy a body which is as new as possible or with low shooting figures like less than XXXX?

Thank's for helping me!
So now I have to ask from Pentax in Finland what would be the repair cost. I have to admit that I gave the K-30 to my daughter some years ago, and when she got the problem, I wasn't so much interested to look what's wrong, and my daughter gave the K-30 back and after that it was without use. I just bought a new KP and because of that I tried the K-30 if I could sell it, but unfortunately I can't do it.
The K-30 is quite unused, I have to check how many shots, but it must be less than 5000, anyway it is like new and now it is useless.
The KP was quite expensive, so I believed that I could get some money from the K-30, but unfortunately I don't!

If they will repair it with understandable price, so isn't the present Chinese solenoid good enough or even today it's rubbish?

Hi!
I don't know if the camera is broken or do I have some wrong adjustment's:
If I pres the button a little longer, the camera is taken 3 shots and all shots are totally black, short pres and the result is only one black picture!
I have just bought new KP, so I should sell this body, but it is not possible if it don't work.
What should I check or do?
Thank's for helping!

Edit 1: Now I changed back to original adjustments, so it takes only one picture, but still it's black!
Edit 2: I realized that I have to increase the light to max +5 stops, then I can see picture, not good, but I see it. Why is that?

I'm a camera addict person, I have some of them, but to be honest, I don't know all of them.

So when you are going to an occassion in where you want to take good pictures, choose the camera you know and can adjust it!

Most of horrible pictures are taken because of you don't know how the camera will work!

And if the FF do have enough off resolution, the easyest way to get "longer" lens is to crop the picture.;)

I don't need extreme wideangles, so those extreme wideangle zooms are not so important for me.
Still I'm quite sad that I sold cheap my Pentax K 20mm F4 lens because of i didn't believe that there will be adigital FF camera for Pentax system.
For APS-C and m43 systems I have wider zooms, but the picture quality is not as high as it can be in FF system.
I changed my Minolta 17-35mm zoom to a Tokina 20-35mm zoom only because of IQ.

Both bolded sentences are right, specially the makro lens capability will be in some situations much better, because of bigger distance with same aspect ratio.
Also our personal needs are really different, so there must be space for every ones need.

With the picture angle I mean that with an older lens made for FF size I loose the angle of picture if I use it with APS-C camera.
For my photographing are wide angle lenses very important, so in the case of APS-C camera I loose a lot of angle compared to FF camera.
In the case of Sony A900 my most used lens is Minolta 24-105mm zoom, in the case of K30 my most used lens is the Pentax 16-45mm zoom and for Sony NEX 5n it is 16-50mm zoom and for Olympus EP-L5 it is Panasonic 12-35mm.
In all of these cases I also have lenses which are wider in angle for my landscape photos, I need quite seldom any longer lenses, so that's why a crop sensor camera with a wideangle FF lens is not quite interesting for me.

I don't vote for anything, but I'm for sure more happy with a FF body if I have good quality lenses for that size, why waste the ideal picture angle only because of undersized sensor?

That will be the future, you have to buy more or less a complete system and to buy every part separately will be more and more difficult for every camera maker - I believe. :o

I hope you have right.
I believe that when the resolutions are becoming higher and because of everything must be processed faster there must be more hardware to take care of processing, software is not capable to proces fast enough so huge amount of data which is needed in FF cameras in future, and I hope that Pentax is in that way already now.

I'm sure you have right, all of the last years development work on APS-C bodies have also taken in use in the new FF body and beside that I believe there is still a lot of development work done "only" for the FF body. For sure this FF body will not only be a scaling up from K5.
In FF body Pentax MUST have better AF, faster prosessing and memory, best in the class viewfinder, ergonomy and useability (all adjustments easy to reach and logical firmware etc.).
It's also a question when the "good enough" technology level is reached and that is the most difficult matter to decide - only as my opinnion;)

With my NEX 5n or with my E-PL5 I use the touch screen more or les in street photograpy, I can stay up and the camera is hanging on my neck with the strap and the rear display is tilted upwards so that I'm like taking photograph with an old Yashica Mat or Rollei. When the object is in right position on the screen, I simply touch the screen on that point.
The other way to use tilting touch screen is example when you want to take a close up photo on some object close the ground. There is no possibility to go with your head below the ground surface, so you have to use an 90 degree loop or simply tilt the screen upwards and focus to right point by touching the screen. I don't have any macro lens for those cameras, but for Pentax I have and that's why I ask for tilting touch screen to Pentax, and same time the body should be weather resistant.
For sure, this is ONLY my opinnion, but I can not see any negative there if the screen on a DSLR is tilting and of touch screen type.
