You can export the metadata into files, or you can just export a bunch of pictures as a catalog and then import them at home. I did this and it works.

K100D Sensor Dirt.......

Mount the camera facing downwards on a tripod, so that dirt falls out. Then use the pad only in one direction (don't go back and forth with the pad). I went into the bathroom with the shower on to remove dust from the air!
After you have done this a couple of time, a small speck of dust on an image does not seem so important any more...

Tests to determine if a new K20D is faulty

I ordered the K20D last Monday on Amazon and had it in my hands on Wednesday. It is heavier than the K100D and has a lot more buttons, that put all the features you want to use at your fingertips.
My camera had a bright white spot on the right hand side. A bunch of hot pixels. See pictures at Flickr: MartinStein's stuff tagged with dust
I mentioned this to Amazons help and the told me to send it back within 30 days. A replacement was send immediately. Wow - very happy with Amazon.

I did not get the hot cluster on all pictures, but it did show up on the dust mapping screen - the camera can find dust on the sensor!

Compared to the K100D the mirror is much more quiet, and the speed the pictures are written to the SD card is amazing.

Apparently the maker name in the EXIF header was changed from Pentax Corporation to just Pentax. This was done because Pentax was bought by Hoya.
Some RAW importers use the maker name for camera model identification. You can manually fix each file, use JPG or wait for a fix from Apple, Bibble etc
