Hello again and many thanks for your answers!

It seems like it's worth a try getting hold on that one.

Maybe it will replace my Sigma APO 70-300 :)

Thanks again!

Hello all!

I've been thinking about getting a longer tele lens. (Older, manual, since the newer ones are too pricy)

So I found a Tokina 400/5.6 on an Internet auction.
(I have no idea when it's made)

Does anyone knows how it performs? And maybe how much it could be worth?

(By judging of the looks of the lens, it is not the one which is reviewed here on PF.)

Here's a pic of the lens:

Hello!
I know what kind of snake it is, but I don't know what they are called in english though. The only translation I got was viper and adder
They are quite venomous, but not deadly. However, it also vary from person to person.
In swedish they are called: Huggorm
And in latin: Vipera berus

Thank you! :)

Hehe
Well, yes, they are quite poisonous. Unfortunately I don't know how much, but I suppose that if you get bitten you will need to go to a hospital to get aid and seek cure.

When I took the photo, in early june, it were cold during the night, so if you got up quite early, they were very slow, so you could get close up on them, without them running away.

Thanks for your comment :)

Hello!

I got another one in :D

It's a viper, which lives outside our courtyard, under a pine tree.

Feels great to work with! The IQ at low ISO is outstanding, and the color rendition you get with the Pentax high quality glass is nothing but beautiful!

The buttons feel well-placed, and the size of the body (with, and without BG) is perfect for myself, even though you sometimes want a smaller camera.

The best thing of all is that the body is very well-built, especially with the sealing (too bad I don't have any sealed lenses)

People complain about the slower FPS and auto focus, but for me, I'm fine with the 3frames per second, and I can't complain about the AF, It does a good job, and as I most shoot still-life, nature and architecture, I'm not in need for thundering fast AF speed ;-)

Here are some pros and cons:

Pros:
Really good image quiality at low ISO
Well-built
Weathersealed
Well placed buttons
Custom settings
As for all Pentax bodies, the backward compability with lenses
Size

Cons:
Noisy at ISO 800 (I usually do not shoot at higher ISO than 400)
You have to go through a meny (fn-button), to set the self-timer
AF-C is not too good (I almost never use it, and almost never have too either)
Size

Well, that's about it.

Haha, yup thats right.
As a trained network security administrator, I find it a bit bad that they don't have an alternate site up and taking over ;)

(Sorry, just had to. :o)

Cheers!

My PS skills aren't that great, but here is a quick n' dirty sample.

Looks quite like the size of the k-m.

Seems like a nice body to use with the limited lenses (:

I really like the lines which reflects a retro-look!
