Yes. I've seen it in the forums. I have the 44-2 as well, and it works a bit better with a Canon body due to the adapter - on the pentax, the m42 adaptor leaves a very small gap that lights come in (upper right hand section of the body of the lens side when you shooting) - some black tape can ameliorate it. The canon, the adapter leaves no gap. Not a deal breaker on the pentax, but just keep it in mind.

Do not dissapoint yourself though. work around it, it'll be worth it.

That's why I asked just in case for myself - full set of awesome shots in the few pages I've browed thus far on this thread. Just glad to be part of the community, without this I'd still be shooting in auto with the kit lens :)

Good thing LBA/GAS has made me collect a few, then... I'll find a prime allowable, although I must say, I really dig that old forgotten Sigma ;)

Perhaps you do... I have no complaints on sharpness for the M 35/3.5; bokeh is kinda meh... but I don't know, the end result from the Tak just feels more homey, more photographic, to me.

This seems like a very chill-loungy place, great for those long summer afternoons... I bet they can really do some cooking there as well!

Thank you, Ray...

I do own maybe 3 other legacy 35mms (Auto Chinon and Mamiya/Sekor) and a M 35/2.8 = but the Takumar just blows them out of the water. Great little lens.

Great post work, I must say - I can see the natural haze-halo, but the way you brought it out is really cool!

I have the SMC version I think, it has to be one of my favorite lenses... cool shot - do you use a hood with it?

With the amount of skyscraper construction in the vicinity (Long Island City and Roosevelt Island), and even some building construction around 21st Street (where shot is taken in LIC), I can only presume he was about to check in for work. Footwear may confirm the theory...

Or maybe "he" was high, needing thus to seat down with the proper safety apparel for elevation ;)

I actually asked him (hand signaling) to take his shot - he replied by covering his face as shown... once I took the shot I kept trying to get eye contact, when he removed his hand from his face I gave him a thumbs up, which was reciprocated.
