Thank you for posting the links.
With manual focusing it helps a lot to first disable the option for the central focus point to glow red momentarily, it distracts the eye. I spend quite a time focusing manually every shot and when I could see the subject as best focused as possible in the view finder, checking with Live View in magnification I could affirm that focus was near perfect. But the Green Hexagon was not lighted at this point. I used AF Micro Adjustment for all and now the Green Hexagon lights when near perfect focusing. If the K-5 had adjustment range from -20 to+20 I could adjust it perfectly. Now I am at -10 and it probably would need -12 for perfection.

I enjoy photographing with the HELIOS-44M on my K-5. But I have noticed that it is slightly front focusing from the view finder. I mean that when I see the subject perfectly focused in the view finder and the red rectangle glows momentarily with the confirmation hexagon continuously lighting, when I switch to Live View and magnify up to x10 the image needs just a tiny turn of the focusing ring towards the infinity to achieve perfect focus. At the menu feature number 26 'AF Fine Adjustment' there is only the 'Apply All' option. What should I do?

This man declares that 56mm in 16x24 can not substitude 85mm in 24x36.

I think for me best is the 24x36 sensor. To shoot portraits I need 70mm to 100mm lens so the faces are not too curvy or too flat. Best is the 85mm lens. I can use 85mm in my 16x24 sensor K5 but then the background would be too close to the subject and too narrow because I would be forced to be more distant from the model. The model would not pop up. In most times I do not have the available space to back step to frame the model. You can see for yourself the differences of the two sensors: just use a K1 with the 77mm limited or the 85mm. Fill the frame so that the model appears mainly in the frame and the background is flattering first in 24x36 mode. Then switch to 16x24, step back and fill the frame in the same analogy of the model to the frame. You will see that the background will not be as flattering or no flattering at all. If you choose to use a 56mm lens in 16x24 for the same angle as the 85mm in 24x36, the background would seem far away and wide as the 24x36 sensor with the 85mm but the face of the model would not look natural, it would be a little but noticeable curvy. If I want to shoot sports or birds in flying I can always use a 24x36 sensor in 16x24 mode. I can afford the extra bulk and weight of a 24x36 camera and lenses as long as I have the benefits. I am waiting for the K-1 used prices to fall down so I can complement my K-5.

Consider the K-5. It has all of the features of K-5IIs minus the antireflecting screen, the dynamic focusing of near to the selected focus point in Continues focusing and better focusing in low light. In good light they are the same. But the Imaging Compare feature is invaluable, to me at least. Here is a quote of me from a similar thread:
"I have both K-5 and K-5IIs. Although the screen of the K-5IIs is good to avoid sun reflections at the field, I prefer the screen of the K-5, I find it more faithful. The antialiasing filter of the K-5 does not make an issue for me, for the on hand photography I practice I do not see differences in sharpness. But the best reason I prefer K-5 over the K-5IIs is the Imaging Compare feature. Suppose you take multiple shots hand held of a model. You can easily synchronize the images in the monitor and compare the details".

Hello,
Just a quick question: Is the K-5 the last Pentax applying mechanical IBIS in video? I prefer this approach versus the electronic stabilization. I was considering the K-3 but if the mechanical IBIS is missing from video I think I will stick with the K-5 for now.

I greatly value the internal flash for on the fly fill in. I want to have it for 24x36 sensor cameras too (Nikon D700/800). I was hoping for a return of it in the new APS-C flagship. So I will keep using my lovely K-5 and I will consider a used K-3. If you think this comment is out of place tell me and I will delete it.

How can I subscribe to 'Pentaxofficial' so I can get alerted for the next snippet? I could not navigate in 'https://pentaxofficial.com/en/5849/', it seemed there is no English version. Is somewhere in the forums a sticky with all the addresses of the snippets?

I like the Helios 44M 58mm. My K5 does not have 60mm setting so I use 55mm instead. Is there any Pentax DSLR, in production or not, that has 60mm setting for manual focus lenses?
