I'd recommend one of the Godox 600ws's and one, maybe two, Godox AD200s. Get a gridded beauty dish, 120cm octa (Eli deep or Photek Softlighter) and a good reflector (Cali Sunbounce is good). The Parabolix modifiers are also excellent. A few gels and spare batteries are worth the investment. I'd recommend a C-stand too. That will cover most situations!

Congratulations on the new camera buddy, looking forward to seeing what you create with it. Have you considered the Sigma 85mm in the interim? Apparently it's very similar to the Pentax which may take a while to fix. The Fuji 90mm is an incredible lens if you get the XT3. The Black Magic pocket cinema camera is worth checking out for video.

Thanks, yes there's definitely more to mirror lenses than the doughnut bokeh, it's good fun to have the compression & reach in such a compact lens. The depth of field is shallow too so gives an in interesting look with stitched photos...

Their coat is good for specular highlights so with enough flash from the right direction and a darker background they can shine. Otherwise they're like black holes!
This is with the Samyang 135mm f2 lens which is pretty much as sharp as the Pentax 70-200mm f2.8 lens but warmer and manual focus.
