Perfect composition and pose! Amazing photo for no PP (yes, it is possible). Thank you for the endearing story of their relationship. You are forgiven for not using a Pentax for this-LOL.

This is Doodle, our rescued Maltese. Actually anything formal concerning him is a contradiction! However he has taught us the Maltese Law of Physics: A Maltese in motion tends to stay in motion, period!

In the pre-electronic timer days, I used to carry a portable wind-up metronome to time night exposures. This "offbeat" item suffered an "untimely" death when my bag was swamped by a giant wave on Oahu's North Shore.

Great shots of a very memorable car. The extra props bring a real period feel. If the taillights in #1 are accurate, the T-Bird is a '56. That was the only way I knew to tell back then.

I had just bought an AFZ-540 and was messing with it when our Shih Tzu, Zoe, came in and wanted to play. She's been flashed at so often, she's numb to it. I swiveled the head and bounced the flash off the ceiling. K10D; DA 50-200 @ 105mm, f/8.

cali92rs & smf, Thanks for viewing and commenting. I see your point on cropping the chair. I had already cropped out most of the chair, but thought leaving in a little gave a sense of place and also bracketed with the waste can on the other side to provide some balance. When I tried taking out the chair entirely, the composition seemed a bit unbalanced and moved the cat too close to the center. Thanks for the input!

Alliecat, This guy might have it rough on the streets, but our apartment complex has plenty of people feeding him and others to keep them happy.

Thanks for looking and for your comments! You're right, I had just enough time to rush for my camera and get off a few shots before he got up and left.

jford, thanks for your comments.

That cat looks like he's had more than his share of rumbling with the local feline homies.

HDR is like flash photography: it is best when it is noticed least. The heavy-handed HDR seen on this site and PPG has all the aesthetic appeal of paint by numbers!

Has anyone considered the violation of US price fixing and fair trade laws. These are intended, at least in part, to address this kind of distributor/importer manipulation of retail prices. Those laws make things difficult for smaller retailers, but offer more affordable prices for retail customers.

I'm happy to be a part of the Pentax Forums. I've had only Pentax since I started with SLR's 47 years ago.

Today I'm involved in event photography for my church where we also have a photo walk group meeting monthly. I also do 2-3 weddings a year along with engagement and prom photos.

After working for years as a photo lab technician, digital photography and PP is a real release and creative boost.

I appreciate the quality and value of Pentax, and try never to forget that the most important photo gear is the nut that pushes the button.:o
