In my research, I have seen mention of at least 7 different screwdriver tips sizes. I suspect the larger numbers denote
screwdrivers for Japanese motorcycle repair, or similar. What sizes would an infrequent user really need to make adjustments
like mentioned in this thread?

Thanks.

Lenses - how do you store yours ?

Primarily in common plastic tool boxes of various sizes, with lenses inside old, but clean socks. i make my own card board dividers. Is it obvious that I am cheap? When I find a very good deal
on a hard case, I acquire that for more commonly used lenses. The tool boxes allow storage of smaller accessories like SD cards, batteries, filters, and the like. Lenses not used frequently are simply
stored on my house basement floor, where that is heated, cooled, and dehumidified as needed. No other special handling is required at my upper midwest US location. I have lenses store as above for 35+
years with no problems.

I am a one lens a day kind of guy, and keep the body/lens of the day in a small, lightweight messenger bag or shoulder sling. The camera/lens is wrapped in a large microfiber towel while in and out of the bag.
Accessories are kept in compartments separate from the camera/lens, avoiding scratches, nicks, and dents. My system has worked well for me, for over 50 years, but as always.....YMMV.

Tamron 90mm vs Pentax F/FA 100mm Macros

I can recommend the Tamron 72E model. I believe there are three versions released 1996, 1999, and 2005. I have the first version,
designed during the film era, but perfectly usable on today's digital bodies. This lens is quite sharp. Being nearly 23 years old the
AF doesn't match the AF of current models. No problem because MF is the preferred method of operation. The lens has an AF/MF
switch and focus limiter switch.

More detailed info on this lens is available from:

Tamron SP AF 90mm F/2.8 Macro 1:1 72E | LENS-DB.COM

The lens should be available from the big auction site for well under 200 USD,
probably less through a private sale.

Well-stated. I know several professionals. I have learned from them, that they can make enough, from one job, to buy one of those ~$3500 cameras.
And then, write the cost off as a business expense.

I don't get it either. Color science would not be a major consideration when choosing a camera body. YMMV.
As someone who deals with arthritis in wrists and thumbs, size, weight, and ergonomics are most important to me.

Choices. Why would anyone buy a new Porche 911 for $113,300, when a Nissan Versa will get you to your destination for $12,100? Choices allow one to buy what they want. I never buy new electronics. Like Winder said, new models offer choices and help older model prices decline. With patience I was able to buy my low mileage Sony a7III for 17.5% off list, less than a new Pentax K1mII. My a7III is a joy to use with my Pentax and other legacy lenses.

Having few choices would be no fun.

Five Luxurious Lens Wraps | B&H Explora

I have two from different manufacturers, and can highly recommend these:

Protective Wrap 20 inch | Tenba

If you want to travel light, camera and lens only, they work great. They offer a bit of padding
and add almost no weight.
