I'd like to review the Sigma 17-70mm f2.8-4.5
Let me know if this works.
Thanks :)

Sorry, wasn't aware of the extremely large size.
Resizing right now.
P.S. Sold my 23" the other day, I'm on a 17" haha.

Some people didn't really like it...
One things for sure, we were the center of attention!.
The three musketeers!
Overall, it was quite a fun day!
And if anyone was wondering, this was at the Kitchener Oktoberfest Parade of 2010!

Another vote for Vegas, or also, Final Cut is very nice on the Mac side.

Wow, quick reply! Gotta love those!
I've also been reading about that lens, are there many for sale about right now? And where could I pick up a new one?
Also, any example pics? I was looking through the 16-45 album, wooh. Enough said.

Hey guys!
My sister gave me $200 recently, and I'm expecting $250 from a tax return...
I want to buy photography gear, and the 16-45 f4 is really tempting right now.
The wide angle, how everyone raves about it, and f4 isn't bad either.
Definitely a replacement for the trusty kit lens.
So around the price range of $200 to <$400, what kinda lens can I get? Is this my best bet?
P.S. There's one at a local store fairly near me, for open box, for $299 CAD! I think that's a pretty good deal, right?

Called up Pentax Canada, and they told me that it'd cost $150 to repair (if they even have the parts, which they don't know).
So...
Any other options with this lens, or do I have a nice looking paperweight now?

Beautiful colours, nothing short of what is expected with that lens :)
Two very nice shots!
Tulips are springing up everywhere, the world is beautiful :D
Not really a critism about the photo but rather the watermark: perhaps shrink it a little bit and increase the opacity?
Nonetheless, two very nice shots! Well done!

Isn't that one of the Japan only colours?
Head over to the Pentax Japan website, over 100 colour combinations.
From Pentax.

I bought the Eneloops for my K-x even though I didn't see what the hype was all about.
Then I found out the other day.
An entire day's shooting (16GB card FULL!) of video (LIVEVIEW!) and pictures, and the Eneloops showed red at the end of the day, but never died!
Took 9ish GB of video, rest was RAW pictures, and wow, they still never died.
THESE THINGS ARE AMAZING.

Hey all,
The Pentax-F 35-135mm f3.5-4.5 I bought last December (from a forum member, but locally off Kijiji) is acting up.
First, I noticed the zoom acting stiff and not wanting to move some times. I just left the lens alone for a bit.
Then, I let it have some time and put it on my camera again, and tried taking pictures. The Zoom started acting fairly normal again, but the focus would not work (AF or MF-- it seemed like it wouldn't go past a certain point).
Any thoughts on how I could get this repaired, and if it's even worth repairing?
Thanks for your time,
Shub.

I think the second picture is very nice, really appealing. How long a shutter speed did you use for that?
Wide angles always look soo cool :D
And wow, only 10 minutes away? And you could probably get some nice pictures walking on the way there.
I'm still struggling to find some nice places near me.

Haha, I agree 100%, and nice joke! :P
Nice pic, I kind of want to see the colour version as well though.
And as for the halo, my first mistake. Made me quite ashamed of my work.

Very nice series of pictures, but I have a quick question.
Could you post (or PM) the settings used for the pictures? Especially the first one,
or is it an HDR?

I don't think the BW suits the image. The colour version is amazing though, imo.
Nonetheless, nice capture, and good job on experimenting!

As with everyone, I prefer the colour version by far compared to the BW.
I think you should merge the two, to make it easier for a side by side comparison

Wow, very nice pictures, what a great opportunity to take pictures!
Sadly, when I got my K-x, I think the first pictures were at a 5 minute stop in my sister's house. Man, I was anxious to get those!
And sadly, also were in JPEG and shot in auto.
If this is your first DSLR, I recommend RAW (or RAW+) and Lightroom to edit, if you don't do that already.
Also, the green button makes Manual easier. Search the forums if you don't already use it.

The first one is my personal favourite. I don't know why, but night long exposures always look amazing to me. I need to go out and take some!
The second one seems a bit too tilted and slightly overexposed to me, but nothing a little PP can't fix.
The third one looks nice agian though. That is one bright wheel!
Nice shots!

What a daunting look on that bird.
Very nice capture.
Just wondering though, what are the two horizontal (and barely visible) lines?

Whoah..
What a model. :)
Very nice, the black and tattoos really accent the picture.
What lens was this?
Also, the lighting looks really nice.

Nice series of shots, all on the same day?
That's a lot for one day haha.
The ocean spray and chihuahua are among my favourite (damn, did I really spell that right? oh, damn, no spell check)
What lenses were used?

Nice series of pictures.
Also, that snowman is very well crafted.
But a quick question, why black and white??
