Do people in the USA ever use tons as a measurement?

I'm not sure too many Millennials know what a Ton is, although it is used quite a bit in the states. I don't really concern myself too much with what measurement is used, so I could easily see myself saying 100,000 pounds as opposed to 50 Tons, and I have a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Tethering a K5iis?

Looks like PKTether is now defunct, so is there any good option out there? Looked into a WiFi card, but it looked like there were issues with refreshing the file folder on the destination computer in order for LightRoom to see the files.

I'm not really in a position to upgrade my body right now, and I don't do photography for a living anyway. I use it to take photos of my products and family photos.

Adobe Lens Profile for 35mm f/2.0 SMCP-FA AL

I have been using that one, but Lightroom doesn't recognize the lens automatically, which is a big PITA when doing lots of photos. Maybe I can copy and rename the profile and have it work.

Anyone know where I can get the lens profile? I don't think I have the skill to create one, and the Adobe profile downloader is now defunct.

Thanks

Square in Center of LCD Screen During Video - K5iis

I can turn off the grid, etc. - can the white square be turned off too? Running it on a flat screen for a presentation and it is distracting.

Thanks,

I found a bit of a work around. When it is set to AF-C it is always in the center, but if you set it to AF-S you can move it to one corner.

Thanks for the input. I'll be spending some more time on the editing. I am also getting a ColorMunki to adjust my monitor. I did shoot these in RAW, so I can still make adjustments. Editing is definitely not my strong suit, buy I am trying to learn.

The sign was just part of the old building's loading dock, and we liked it (anything old and rustic).

Thanks for the input regarding the leg positioning.

Thanks for the feedback...my daughter was not a fan of them either

---------- Post added 08-19-17 at 07:42 PM ----------

I bought a 5 in 1 reflector (48x24) and used the silver side for all of the images except for at the barn. For it I used the white side as the sun was really strong that day. Had my younger daughter running the reflector and she did a great job.

My daughter asked me to take her Senior Pictures, so we went out to various locations around our home on several different occasions. This is one of the those times where you don't know what you don't know. Looking for some feedback on the pics, editing, etc.

I'll be out of contact for a few days, so won't be able to reply for a bit.

Thanks in advance.

Have a lot to learn with my lighting setup, and photography in general (as it is only a hobby), but I thought this shot turned out nice. I like this shot, although it is underexposed (and I chose not to bump it up in LR) - I seem to prefer most of my shots that way.

Not sure if you got your answer or not, but...

Silver Box is power supply - all the strobe units plug into that. Should have a cord similar to a desktop computer cord to plug it into the wall. Should also have a synch cord that has a two prong house type plug that goes into power supply and then to the camera. Mine has a hot shoe adapter. I have strobe stands that have umbrella attachments built in.

Mine is a 1000 and I use it all the time - great unit.

Might also want to check trigger voltage.
