Anatomy Question

Obviously part of the hip adductors.
You'd likely find this sort of muscle action when the adductor magnus and gracilis muscles join at their insertion at the distal aspect of medial femur and the proximal aspect of the superior tibia, medially.
Now again, the knee flexion also involves a good deal of synergistic action such as, shown here, the hamstrings group . Someone (Dosdan) mentions part of that group (semimembranosus with semitendinosus).
Hope that helps.

And that is a statement from someone who no longer has "committed interest" in Ricoh/Pentax" ?
With all due respect Kenspo, and I do indeed have great respect for your past participation for Pentax(Ricoh) products, why would you say that? :hmm::confused:

Photokina, Ricoh has Confirmed .... What??

If this is the only "news" thus far, I suppose there isn't going to be much more announced during the week of September 26-29.
Of course, one would always want to be hopeful for the next one scheduled for May 8-11, 2019.

All that said ... I'm out of here until real news or "confirmation" materialise.

Cheers!

Good read, and thanks.
I don't think (assuming) that the AF spot mode of the "after the K3" cameras would should such a difference in "tracking" vs. newer cameras such as the K3II and K3IIs.
But again, this would have to be tested and, according to some posters, not reproducible.

K-3ii to D500... Is this the right move?

You know what?
I have been in the similar (same?) situation for quite some time.

My "bird gear" ... K3 + DA*300/4 ... not much reach but it does the job, except for tracking (especially birds coming toward the camera and away from it).
I do have the HD 1.4X TC and I haven't had much success with it, so I have not used it for several months.
The DFA 150-450 sure is tempting ... my daughter has that lens and she is using it extensively with a K3 as well so maybe I will test it out on my own camera (K3) when she visits during October.

I have also been thinking of acquiring a different camera brand (nothing specific yet) for birding but this would of course mean that I would have to sell just about everything I own in Pentax gear !! Scary !!

BTW, I have read all the posts here, some with excellent comments, some others with less than "nice" comments.

So, I am following this thread and hoping you will find a solution to your dilemma.

Cheers.

Viewing a photo with photoshop and faststone

I use FastStone Image viewer quite a bit when reviewing my pictures and then proceed to photoshop to edit the images (if needed) from the RAW files.
I have very seldom "opened" RAW files directly from Faststone (well, maybe a couple of times) because of exactly what you said: loss of saturation/contrast.

Perhaps there is a way to keep those parameters from Faststone i.e.: contract/saturation ... etc. but I find it easier to just open files (RAW) direct from, in my case, CS5.

Some questions regarding buy/sell etiquette

I have been told, several times, that shipping outside of the continental USA is a PITA ... on the other hand, I had also several great transactions with US members, either selling and/or buying.
I suppose those who opt for "CONUS" don't want to be bothered with the additional charges or with the "increased paperwork".

All in all, the majority of US sellers will more often than not ship to (outside the USA) you, albeit with some fair increased charges (shipping, customs, etc ...).

That's what I figured the first time, the camera was indeed in review mode, and when I pressed the SD1-SD2 button, it stayed on SD2 ...
Anyway, it seems to work OK now.
Thanks!
