Item for Sale
Pentax K-3, Pentax DA 18-135mm WR, Pentax DA 50mm 1.8

Asking Price
600.00 USD

Item Location
Milwaukee, WI (United States)

Item Description
e. I've been a member here for a long time, though I am no longer a Pentax user.

You can see photos of the items is the original listing here.

Pentax K-3 Body, Pentax DA 18-135mm WR, Pentax DA 50mm 1.8, Sigma 10-20mm 4-5.6 - PentaxForums.com

The kid paid $680 for everything which seems like a reasonable price, but I need it gone. First $600 (Paypal ) takes it...and the shipping is my dime.

I'd rather not re-photograph everything, but if someone doubts I have it, I can take a couple quickie photos. Everything looks well cared for and functions as it should. I would like to point out that the body dustcover seems to not fit properly, but if you just keep a lens on it, you don't need to worry about it.

Also it should be pointed out that while it does come with a Pentax battery, there is no charger. There's also no box or manual. You get the camera, strap, battery and both lenses with appropriate caps.

The lens will be my main WR lens and general workhorse. I don't do much photography anymore and frankly my telephone is probably good enough. But a good WR zoom is essential with Pentax, right? I'll probably pick up a nice "normal" fast prime and a macro and call it quits.

If there's no action today, I'll put it on the Bay tomorrow.

The 18-135mm is the most versatile lens..... and with the WR, I would consider any Pentax kit incomplete without it.

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
K-5 Limited w/ 40mm lens
Asking Price
500.00 USD

Item Location
Milwaukee, WI (United States)

Item Description
I just bought this gear a couple months ago. And I finally realized that I'm more of a gear buyer than a photographer. I'm throwing in the towel. I'm keeping a cheap-ass Panasonic superzoom camera and an old Fuji X100 for when I want to pretend that I'm a photographer. But all this expensive gear sitting on a shelf getting no use is just pointless. Everything is like new.....or VERY close to it. I simply don't use the stuff. I bought all of it new except for the K-5 Limited, but that I bought from a Japanese shop and it had 12 shutter actuations....so it may as well have been new. Money back guarantee to anyone who feels like the items are not at least a 9 out of ten. It's been on a shelf in my closet 99% of the time I have owned it (and that has been only around 2 months).

1. PENTAX K-5 Special Limited Edition Silver with DA 40mm f2.8 XS - I bought this 2 months ago with 12 shutter actuations. I had wanted a limited silver Pentax for so long, this is what started my Pentax binge. Who knew such a simple purchase would end up costing me so much money? I'm not splitting up the set, so don't bother to ask. It's so flipping sweet that if it doesn't sell, I'll just keep it. I MAY have put another 100 actuations on the shutter, but that's about it. The lens is perfect. The body shows no wear anywhere. There is no manual or disc, but everything else that came with it is there. The strap and cords have never even been unwrapped. Battery charger and battery work fine and hold a good long charge. $550 (now just $500) (includes fees and insured shipping to US address)

I also have a Pentax DA 18-135mm WR lens I am selling. It came with a brand new K-3 that I bought a couple months ago. I shot maybe a dozen shots with it to make sure everything worked fine, and it did. I have sold the K-3. The lens comes with front and rear caps and lens hood, but no box since it was part of a kit. I am asking $250.

55-300 sold.

18-135 has received much interest, but no one ready to buy the cheapest, mintest used one on the market (yet).
There's some wiggle room on the K-5 kit before I try it on the Bay.

Had a few messages about everything I have left, but no closers.

If anyone combines one of the remaining zoom lenses with that K-5 limited package, I'll knock $50 off the package..... or add them both for $75 off the package total.

I can't believe no one has scooped up that limited silver K-5 yet. I actually prefer the K-5 to the K-3 in many respects.

Item Description
I had all this stuff listed for sale when an offer to purchase came through in the first day. I thought it was too good to be true, but I even got a deposit to hold it until today. Today, the buyer backed out saying he couldn't afford it and his wife would kill him. Jeepers! If your wife factors into your purchases......fine. But that means check with her first.

I just bought all this stuff a couple months ago. And I finally realized that I'm more of a gear buyer than a photographer. I'm throwing in the towel. I'm keeping a cheap-ass Panasonic superzoom camera and an old Fuji X100 for when I want to pretend that I'm a photographer. Battery charger and battery work fine and hold a good long charge. $550 (includes fees and insured shipping to US address)

2. PENTAX K-3 w/ 18-135 WR lens - Probably around 200 shutter actuations, this is definitely like new as well. Lens comes with front and rear caps, body comes with body cap and everything that came in the box. Battery, charger, unused strap, and manuals all in the original box. Also, I will not split up the kit. If you don't need the lens, I'm sure someone here does. It's a nice sharp copy and it's never been used in the rain. $795 ( K-3 BODY sold......lens still available) (includes fees and insured shipping to US address)

3. Sigma 18-35mm f1.8 DC HSM - Why this lens isn't more popular around here is a mystery to me. This thing embarrasses all the Pentax offerings in these focal lengths. I had read that focus is not accurate, but it focused fast and accurate for me every time. I think it's more an issue of user error and shallow DOF. Comes with unused carry pouch, front and rear caps and unused lens hood in original box. Minty in every way. $600 (SOLD) (includes fees and insured shipping to your US address)

4. Pentax HD DA 55-300 WR - I bought this just over a month ago when they dropped the price to $320. I thought I'd never see it that low again. Turns out I was wrong. I took a few test shots with it to make sure it worked.....otherwise it is new. Complete with front and rear caps, hood and box. Hurts to sell it for $240(SOLD)

5. Tamron SP AF 90mm f2.8 macro (SOLD) - I bought this one new from a local camera shop that discontinued carrying Pentax. Retail was $500 and I got it for $350. I used it one afternoon to test it out. It's really a great little macro lens, and that limiter switch is quite handy. You get it like new with front and rear caps and carry pouch and box for $300 (SOLD) (includes fees and insured shipping to your US address)

Shoot me a pm with any questions....there's will be small discounts given on combined purchases to reflect my cost savings on postage.

Thanks for your kind words. To be fair, the self-reflection took a couple years and several changes of gear and cost me thousands of dollars. But better late than never, I guess.

All PMs responded to, and all gear still available (though 2 people are close to clearing me out of a few things...... as soon as they decide, I'll update the listing)

Maybe they entered the wrong weight in the shipping calculator. Ask them if the shipping cost is correct. It's also possible that they don't like shipping overseas and will only do it if it means extra money in their pocket.
