Number 3 - the breast-feeding lady - she got some strength! That kid ain't a new born and she's holding him one-handed like if the baby was a pillow! VegFest - is it veggies or vegetarian fest?

Cool shots btw

Thank for the comment - I will open it up, just to give it a shot. It does deserve the opportunity. I've done some RAM additions and such to it, so I'm comfortable tinkering in there...

Yep... My main bud. Got me through undergrad (I went to school late, not that young), went with me study abroad, took the bar exam with it, started scanning my own film with it, learned LightRoom and photo post processing in it (it was soooo slow at the end...SLOW).

I think that it just fried on me. It just heated up within 5 minutes of use lately. I was also using it to work from home so it was on and working 9-5pm + nights (photo stuff)... it took too much, took too much, took too much...

Now I am computerless for photo editing (using a work computer that won't take any programs downloaded from the net). So unless I learn to do good OOTC Jpgs, you won't see much of me around for a while.

I was looking at cheap PCs, but ultimately I want another Mac. I've had one since the G4 laptop (3 since then - the G4, this one 2006 and a 2009 that my wife killed too early by dropping it in the bathtub last year - do not ask).

I guess this post is simply a memorial to my 2006 MacBookPro (15"), a computer that I never named - come to think of it I do not name my cars or my cameras, or anything like that...

Well, off you go buddy, hopefully you'll serve as a Firewire HD (turn on and press T on those Macs).

Enhorabuena.

Promaster LD 70-300mm 4-5.6 = poorly rated lens (the 1:3.8 macro version) - use it at 300mm with good sunlight, not too shabby especially on an old sensor...

I also have the M 35/2.8 and it is not a bad lens... just that there are better 35mms out there pricing equally (like the Takumar). But man, it is not fair to put that Limited on the same list; I've never used it, but on the price tag alone it should speak for itself (and seeing samples, it does).

Glad to hear that the Tak can at least hold its own with the limited.

I do not think I ever posted this shot on this thread, and while praising the SMC Tak 35/3.5 here it goes (maybe my favorite 35/3.5 SMC Tak shot to date):

Two years ago, on a visit to my homeland... You know how close I had to get to the water to get that shot.... While the K-50 is weatherproof, the metal Takumar is not. To date, no signs of corrosion or issues related to that beach venture. :)

I go out on a limb and say Gary has the 35/3.5 - that first water shot, I've shot similar landscapes with my 35/3.5 and OOTC looks very similar. It is an awesome lens, second in my 35mm to my Rikenon XR... but not by much.

whoops, you beat me to my prediction (I drafted it, but sidetracked and just posted it).

Glad to see another happy 35/3.5 SMC user.

I already saw an issue with another USA league (MLS) - one team already withdrew from the scheduled competition (a tournament rather than their regular league)...

US Sports are going to suffer. People are suffering and still getting sick. There is no tough action taken to really stop the infection. I have to give it up to how NY and its Governor did their thing. They handled and are still handling business. But it is still ugly out there... a second, third, fourth wave should be planned for in all states at different times. Sad.

He's the face of the winningless Yanks...

And he did savour the playoffs - 1995 when that Seattle Monster team got the best of them (I was rooting for Seattle). If Seattle got into the WS that year they'd beaten the Braves... Seattle left everything against the Yanks that year. One of the best playoff series ever IMO. It really paved the way for believing in the Wild Card playoffs.

The Yanks went to become the wagon team thereafter... well, they had a good team, many farm-raised so I respected that late 1990's crew.

The Expos had a dynamite team - Pedro Martinez, Cliff Floyd, Moises Alou, Larry Walker to name a few future all-stars... They should get a team back up there... Move Miami or Tampa please!

They should be respected. No one's fault the season got derailed... Same if Tony Gwynn would've gotten 3 more hits in that 1994 season (he would've hit .400)
