Yep that's exactly right... each to their own needs, driven by their photographic requirements, not the bragging rights. ;)

Thank you very much. :)

It certainly does, the technique is still used extensively in the movie/film industry. Instagram apparently (I'm not a user of either) has just revitalised it to a newer mass audience. :D

The too much time... was between paying jobs so it beat being idle. ;)

There's much to be said in favour for the older Pentax glass... ;)

But in my case, the "Ladies" don't take to kindly to being described as older.

As for "modest"... I made a living with a brace of those, at the time (amongst others) when they were cutting edge. ;)

I really like the first image and I kept coming back to it.

I finally worked out what it was about the scene, that was so eye catching... the lack of vehicles and the sensation of space that creates.

As we're in the critique section, for me... I'd back the overall saturation a bit and as already mentioned lighten up the right (especially top right corner) to bring back the balance to the image.

Here's what I mean, I find it's often easier to show, rather than try to describe. ;)

But hey, its each to their own... there's no wrong or right here. :D
