I keep coming back to that moon; it is just so perfectly lovely and sets such a wonderful tone and mode to the image. Beautifully done.

Well, I'm getting up there in years and I am most likely confused too. I meant to say that I just look 21:D:D:D:D:D

I feel your pain. We had to cancel our trips scheduled for this month and we are hanging on hoping that we can keep next month's reservations. Thinking of pulling the old RV into the front yard and camping out there. Happy Anniversary to you both. I will lift a glass in your honor (it is the least I can do and I am sure Kerrowdown will as well.)

This was taken from the most popular spot in Deadhorse State Park for sunset viewing. It overlooks Canyonlands NP and the Green River which you can barely make out in the lower left corner.
Thank you for the very nice comments. Be safe and wash those hands!!!!!!

So bored with this shelter in place that I have been forced to pull up some old photos that I have been meaning to do a little pp on. We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary in 2015 by packing up our RV and going on a six month long trip to visit a bunch of our national parks. We had a blast and came home with so many photos that I will never get through them all.

Brilliant. This made my day so much better. Who knew toilet paper could look so good; no wonder you can't find the stuff in the stores.

Thanks Thomas. The male spent all day passing branches to his chosen. It becomes a bit predictable as to where the exchange will take place making it easier to photograph.

Thanks for the kind comments. These birds were at the rookery located inside of Gatorland in Orlando. It always amazes me how they choose to build their nests above the swampy areas with so many alligators. The gators protect them from predators and the birds are willing to lose a chick or two for the extra protection. There is also a large population of Wood Storks and Snowy Egrets that nest there. Photographers, for a fee, are allowed in before the park opens and stay late for sunset for a few days each week. There is a similar rookery in St. Augustine and one located in a private zoo in Myrtle Beach, SC. All these have alligators as the common denominator. These are not captive birds by any means.

What a pretty bird. I'm impressed with the shutter speed. Those small birds move and twitch about so fast. Well done.

Thank you all for the very kind comments. We try and go to Florida every February for the breeding season. Sometimes we get lucky, other times not so much. Some of our favorite places were destroyed by storms and the birds are no longer there but there are many other places to find them.

Good points. I like the B&W but the color version tells the story better. Nicely captured Dave.
