I've been using On1 Photoraw 2019 for about the last 2 month. I find it to be a more than adequate replacement for lightroom and photoshop. I have used photoshop since the mid 90's and lightroom since 2014.

On the K3 the menu item for controller and master was moved. It is actually selected through the actual flash mode by using the d pad.

News like this makes me feel vindicated for my recent decision to drop Adobe and go with On1 Photo Raw 2019. It gives me way more than Lightroom and close to Photoshop. After three weeks I very pleased with my decision.

To expensive to do a wholesale change. And really no reason. I love the IQ, build and camera layout. It just works for me and has since 1983. No other bodies in my camera cabinet but Pentax.

The 17-50 is a fair bit heavier than the 18-55 kit lens. To me it does not feel unbalanced on my K01. The extra wieght is worth it when comparing 2.8 through the whole zoom range and the IQ difference.

I have K3, K50 and K30. I always check the auto focus on each lens and body combination. Some lens don't require any adjustments. I have found that the majority of them do need adjustment.

I have used my Tamron 17-50 f2.8 on my K01 without issue. It can be found used within your budget. It is pretty light for a 2.8 zoom. You would be surprised at the huge field of view change from 28mm to 17mm. The lens has good IQ and I really don't recall much AF problems with it on my K01. Hope this helps.

Tamron 70-200
9.28
Measures up and worth the price.
IMHO has lower IQ than my 50-135. The auto focus is why the 50-135 is not higher.

The lens makes a huge difference in low light situations. I have shot enough weddings and events to know this is true. When I shoot an event I don't have Canon, Nikon or Sony shooters next to me. Pentax AF with 2.8 or faster lens works great for me and most importantly my clients.

I love light weight primes. If it is a sharp zoom I can justify the weight. Having options is a great thing.

Monopods for landscape?

If used correctly, a monopod is quite useful. The key word if correctly. Most photographers I see using them, don't use them correctly.

Ignorance is everywhere. This type of pompous and arrogant attitude is far to common among pro togs. You know and enjoy the awesome images from your Pentax and in the end that is all that matters.
