A Super Program with a Pentax-A is unbeatable. Av, Tv, Auto. I like that one too.

All of mine get printed; some 8x10, bigger, etc. I have 'cork' boards all over. A lot of them end up on my walls. I stre them in photobucket and Facebook. All my negatives get scanned into my computer. I have back ups on 1 TB external drives. The negatives themselves get stored in special box of drawers and cataloged.

Thoughts on the MV1 Camera.

In 1977, Pentax introduced two compact 35mm SLRs, the MX and the ME, after the Olympus OM-1 presented in 1972 had introduced a new trend for compactness in SLR cameras.

The Pentax ME was succeeded in 1979 by the more advanced ME Super and the simpler Pentax MV. The MV was in turn followed in 1980 by a less basic version, the Pentax MV1. The differences with the MV were the following:

* winder attachment for the ME I winder (1.5i/s) or ME II winder (2i/s)
* self-timer present
* memo holder on the back
* data back attachment for the Dial Data ME
* ASA range from 32 to 1600

Shoot a roll of film in 'Manual' with a hand held meter. Then figure it out.

The exposure compensation dial is continuous. The marks 1x, etc are just a guide.

I have a couple of Spotmatics, 2 K1000, 1 ME Super and 1 Super progrom. Various Super-Takumars and other Pentax lenses. You need a Pentax-A for the Super Program; for the others: any Pentax-M will do. I'd stick to Manual without automation. At the end is the guy behind the camera that counts. That's why you should learn photography and all it's tricks. Later you can use any camera and take great pictures. A great photographer takes great pictures with just a normal lens (50mm). I.E. Cartier-Bresson. I'd follow Nesster's advice and go for a Spotmatic with an SMC Super-Takumar 1.4
