Yeah I did the clip ons, The original bars would have suited a trail bike they were so high and wide. No fairing though. Original exhaust system was very heavy 3 headers into 4 big pipes, so a 3 into 1 system would have been a huge weight saver. And a bigger tyre on the back.

@ Racer:That is the way my friend rode his 750, nose over the headlamp - he was a tall young man and could get his chin over as well.

I had a friend with one in the 70s. He had some issues with chassis and brakes not up to the engine power. But I lusted after it anyway. Couldnt afford one but had a Suzuki GT380 2 stroke triple which had the same design philosophy. It definitely had chassis and brake issues - mine was an early drum brake model.

I came up with an example which I still use - very useful with the longer lenses to counteract the front heavyness.

This is the K3 "Prestige" I have been using since 2014 - knew I needed it as soon as I saw the original press release. The K(new) in that finish would be great!!! This is my travel pack with both black and silver - helps me recognise the 21 from the 70 at a glance when the 70 is not wearing its hood. The colour was called gun metal blue at release but titanium suits as well. The GRIII street edition calls the colour and finish 'asphalt' which I like better than gunmetal blue. Its more grey than blue.

Since the photo the DA 40 ltd has been added to the pancake group.

Watched a NZ doco a couple of days ago hosted by NZ photographer Craig Potton about the Clutha River. Towards the end of the show he visits a piece of remnant natural forest and carries over his shoulder a Manfrotto tripod with a Pentax 645 of some sort attached - a recent show so it would probably be a Z.

The takeaway word is - pocketable... yep nice combo - I bought the tripod after reading that review... the ball head i had already - its a bit big/heavy for this set up - sturdy is fine but overkill if not needed. A smaller head would be better - probabaly Momon's own product or the Leitz one shown on the acquisitions thread recently, but it would be five times more expensive at least than the tripod.:(

I've seen that in a few collections. The items hold on the owner's memory and intention is still strongly held despite changed circumstances and no relationship with reality. Keep an eye on it though as an estate sale could turn up a few bargains - unless the owner is planning to bury the vehicles with him as sometimes happens.
