I have a K30, Sigma 17-70 F2.8-4.5, DA55-300, Tamron 90m f2.8 in my bag (and a very tight budget), I never feel it's the gear that limits my photography, its always me, creativity, skill & commitment. Same goes for a whole lot of manual lens I've accumulated over the years.

thank you for commenting, I got a little lucky with this one, he was very active with the feeding and hardly on the perch long enough for the focus to lock. cheers.

no, not too far south at all, the odd crock has been seen cruising off the beach, I certainly wouldn't get in the water at any of the nearby rivers or creeks, and of course the "Stingers" are a problem also:eek: (in stinger season), but they do have the rock pool which is rather nice to swim in. (that's the rock formation that juts out from the beach).:)
