Since I was in camp for a few days waiting on the eclipse, I took a lot of photos around camp. Guess I'll post a few here as I edit them.

Here's one of them taken after dinner the first evening at camp

Here's an overall shot of the totality. This was taken with my little OMD EM10 and Samyang 7.5mm Fisheye lens (a VERY wide lens).

You can see the 360 degree sunset that surrounded the eclipse.

This was taken the night before the eclipse at camp. The Milky Way was extremely bright and there were many shooting stars throughout the night. I have more to process but will probably leave those for tomorrow. I'll post them in this thread when I finish them.

This is a single 25 second image. Camera used was a Nikon D600 and Samyang 14mm F2.8 lens.

Thanks everyone!

Here's a shot I took with my last frame of B&W film before switching over to color. Gives you a little idea of the "feel" of the different films.

Last week I had a cousin come visit me. I showed him around some of my favorite places, one of which was Rocky Mountain National Park.

Now, I always have some sort of camera with me when I go out hiking. This time I took my new (to me) Fugi G690 medium format camera. I decided to load up a roll of Ektar 100 for the hike. This is my first color roll I've shot through the camera, I've only shot 3 rolls total through it so far, all black and white.

Anyway, today I developed the roll at home using a Unicolor C41 chemical kit. I just finished scanning them in and adjusting them to my taste (mostly just some contrast adjustments).

I normally shoot in black and white, but I am definitely going to be running some more rolls of color through this camera!

Here they are.

I picked up a camera a few weeks ago that I've been wanting for a long time, a Fuji G690BL. I've only ran a 2 rolls through it so far, but I an REALLY liking what I am getting out of it.

This was shot with the stock 100mm F3.5 lens wide open. I am shooting on Acros 100 developed in Pyrocat MC.

I race in MultiGP, kind of like DRL on ESPN. Tomorrow is qualifiers for the regional final, then on to nationals.

I just finished building a new race frame for tomorrow. This one is a BEAST! Roughly 160 AMPS at full throttle.

I broke out my flashes for a little photography since the race frame turned out nice.

Thanks everyone, glad you like them!

Well, I developed and scanned in the roll I shot through my Fuji G690BL medium format camera. These were all shot on Across 100 and developed in Pyrocat MC for 12.5 minutes. Scanned in with an Epson V750 Pro negative scanner.

The light in these wasn't the best. I waited a little for the right light with my digital IR images. For these images I just snapped the photos without waiting for good light, and it shows.

I stopped by Devils Tower on my way to vacation in Minnesota. I've camped and hiked here before, but I wanted to try a little IR photography and it was only an hour's detour on my road trip.

I took some film shots as well with my Fuji G690 BL and might post them later.

These are just a few quick shots I took during the 30 minute visit to the park. Now I wish I took a longer visit to get just the right shot/setups, but these'll do!

All were shot with a stock Fuji X100S and a Hoya R72 720nm IR filter. The X100S really works well with the IR filter as it has a very weak hot mirror on the CMOS.

Thanks everyone.

These were shot on Fuji Across 100, my favorite B&W film, and also some of the cheapest in 120 size.

I develop all my own film, b&w, c41 or E6 slide film. It is very easy and keeps cost very low, just a few cents per roll for B&W. This rolll was developed in Pyrocat MC for 12.5 minutes.

There is no meter on the g690. I used my Gossen Luna Pro F hand held meter for quick metering.

Though I do have a small dark room, my main way I use film is a hybrid method. I scan in the negative using an Epson V750 Pro, then use Photoshop to adjust contrast and give the film a little patina, or sepia look. I have access to a large format printer, so most prints are made on that instead of wet printing in my darkroom.

I've been wanting one of these for many years. I finally won one on Ebay for a price I was willing to spend, and it is in exellent condition, where most are pretty worn looking.

So, what is it? It's a Fuji G690 BL medium format rangefinder. It's been known as a Texas Leica because it's HUGE (nearly 5 lbs), almost cartoon size and it's similarity to a Leica M3. It takes 6cm x 9cm medium format negatives.

Here's a shot of it next to my Canon L2 Rangefinder

Fuji G690 BL by Andrew Marjama, on Flickr

I also ran a test roll through it yesterday to make sure everything was working. It seems to work at all sped and the rangefinder is spot on. These are nothing special, just some shots from around my shop. Because of the very large negative, I only get 8 shots per roll.

Since this is very similar to an M3, handling and using it is very easy. It is the fastest medium format camera I've ever used, just what I wanted! I'll probably be taking it up into the high country tomorrow for some hiking and photography.

I decided to take off work today and head up into the mountains ( I had a gall bladder attack last night and didn't get much sleep)

I took my Mavic along as well as my X100S and some filters.

Lumpy Ridge seemed like a good place to head to. It is a giant area of decomposed granite, large boulders and stacked rock.

Here's a few photos I took along the hike. Shot in IR using a Hoya R72 filter.

Yesterday I developed a few sheets of film I had left in some film holders.

I took this one 6 months ago at roughly 12,000 ft while hiking the Chasm Lake Trail in Rocky Mountain National Park. 40 pounds of camera gear gets pretty heavy at these elevations.

Shot with a 4x5 Large Format camera using Fomapan 200 film and developed in Pyrocat MC for 8.5 minutes.

Thanks!

I am blown away by the video quality, at least for most of the image. If the right side was as sharp as the rest of the image, I'd be very happy with it.

This quad can already fly up to 4.5 miles away and has a 27 minute flight time. It really is incredible how much technology they packed in such a small package. Its as small as a water bottle when folded up.

Here's a quick video shot a few minutes from my home with my new Mavic Pro

I've been a photographer for many years, but these are my first tries in cinematography. I have A LOT to learn, but it should be a lot of fun.

This was filmed at a local hiking area called Devil's Backbone. Shot in 2.7K at 30P.

Unfortunately I'm going to have to return this one as the right side of the video is blurry, a known issue with the Mavics. I'll be requesting a new one though, this thing has HUGE potential as a tool for my photography and in getting my feet wet in cinematography.

I need to get out that way this spring.

Tried my hand at it, using my normal post processing methods. I didn't spend a huge amount of time on it though. Here it is.
