Should not be a surprise Peter, this is one of the most enchanting images I have seen in recent times. If this print is up for sale, I suspect many of us will consider buying it. Yes, this does invoke Michael Kenna, in a very good way, He'll probably appreciate this work.

This evokes a clam and peaceful mood despite being a dramatic picture, nicely captured.

A picture is supposed to evoke emotion and this does exactly that, in spades. Nothing like wheat, rye peppered with colourful flowers in-between. The blur and bokeh add that emotion. - TFS.

Black & White Temple of Hanuman, Angkor Wat, Cambodia

O yes, I hadn't thought about that ! True, I guess that would make the monkey-god/Hanuman statues more prominent. would you be so kind to allow me (us) an opportunity to view the cropped image ?

Yes, sculptures from the age of the Hindu kingdoms are fascinating, I recall visiting a temple in south-India where an temple AND the musical instrument inside was carved out of a huge rock; Apart from the extremely intricate carvings and sculptures, the priests play the instrument by knocking on the stone-instrument with a stone covered by a cloth producing perfect notes! There are other temples where one does wonder as to how did the sculptor got the bloody chisel out there. Of course the Khajuraho temples are pretty famous as well.

I can't even begin to fathom what would contact prints from the LF masters would look like! Please accept my heart-felt thank you for presenting this wonderful work here.

Black & White Temple of Hanuman, Angkor Wat, Cambodia

There is depth, there is complexity but my eyes keep wandering around without an anchor point :( . The central temple seems to have less details in the tower (Low key) and the tower on the right, at least to my aging eyes looks like is suffering from bloom (?). The Hanuman statues are sharp and clear but seem to fail to keep the attention. That said, the details on the ground and the temple in the fore-ground-left is fantastic.

Crop on the Top - yes. Crop on the right - IMHO debatable. The leaves add a lot of depth and density (if that makes sense) to the picture. As usual , wonder tones Peter.

Anyone using Hartblei 45 tilt/shift on 645?

You owe me a keyboard Rick ! LOL, true, excellent picture there and thanks. despite not having much experience with a TRUE LF, I can appreciate the effort that went into that particular photograph ! I have heard of the almost legendary 90mm superangulon, would love to hear more about that, as in flare resistance, corner sharpness with tilted or shifted to the extreme, coma, Bokeh, other abberations, Quality of coating etc, would be even better to see a comparison between this lovely lens and a regular 90mm in harsh conditions. I know I know, this is silly with an LF lens, but I'm eyeing a bellows setup with the K1 with the 90mm Super Angulon. Thanks in advance.

This ! excellent point and book recommendation. there is lots to learn from the old masters, even with the new fangled digital stuff, physics dont chage. I just wish mine was a LOT more flare resistance when shooting into the sun. Thank you.

Peter, you have again managed to mesmarise your audience (again) with this masterpiece - really beautiful. The unbridled wilderness of the jungle is brought to the fore. Tonality as usual is topnotch and I appreciate that the print is probably a magnitude better the digital version you have presented here. Composition is IMHO on the dot, my eye catches the root on the right first, hops on the leaves goes up and decends back on the highlights on the right. Thanks for sharing.

Composition is spot on - it takes talent to seek and photograh it - commendable. IMHO a few more experiments could be conducted in the B/W conversion department (colour zones). For example, the sky could go completely pitch black with the clouds moving into highlights, the tree trunk and leaves could occupy the entire grey specturm thus drawing a lot of contrast in the details. A bit of LCA on the trunk alone would help as well. TFS.

I presume that this lens is the SMC version ? BTW the sharpness in the eye is quite amazing, did you focus explicitly on the eye or did the DOF take care of that. very nice picture - TFS

Thanks and you are right, the bird makes it even more dynamic. I have another one in the same series without the bird which I'll post soon, but that one relies on shape and constrast rather than the dynamism added by the bird here. Again, thanks for your comment.
