A nice looking pup, though a terrier with a strong prey drive (like my Airedale here in the States) always has the potential to be a bit of a rodeo...too bad y'all don't have any skunks.:)

I did have a student bring me a plate of chitlins once that might have tested his resolve...:)

At any rate, definitely a lot of solitude to be found--check out Lake Chinnabee if you've not already, if you're back up toward Cheaha again.

Nicely done--I spent a decade teaching at UAB (and an unconscionable amount of time in the Talladega National Forest:)). "Wild" Alabama really is a hidden jewel.

All well and good, mate, but remember that I'm lineally descended from a group of y'all a-judged too violent to stay in Early Modern Scotland.

At any rate, a seriously nice photo--I think I'd probably like it better without the toning, though, in keeping with its classic, "decisive moment" vibe.

Hey, I was going to go with a Picture of Dorian Gray reference instead, but I thought it would be too obvious...

Make it a cerakote'd SBR (and a couple of strategically placed bandoleers) and I can pretty much guarantee poster sales here in the great state of Tennessee....

Hopefully Kerrowdown will be along and arrange a proper claymore for the lass (the sword, not the AP mine...different kind of "clackers.) Otherwise, I could see this becoming a holiday tradition, though don't feel fenced-in by us American and Yurps--"Tara Luxuriating in the Warmth of the Antipodean Summer" would have a charm all its own, not to mention being culturally sensitive.;)

Great work with the light, but it's a shot that should be rated "K" for "Kryptonite," mate...

I need a nap. Great work--the "race" series is some of the best photojournalism that I've seen. Otherwise, I'll be curious if LF film continues to fit into your multi-format approach, or whether MF (both film and digital) will be what you reach for most often.

At any rate, now that the seraglio is starting to take non-A series applicants, I'll look forward to what turns up in your bag--what's next, a bunch of Leitax'd Zeiss's?

Glad to hear it, though you might get some different opinions on which eye (if not both) needs to be in "critical focus." (FWIW, it might also be that your hosting website might not be doing you justice--I don't think the one here at PF, for example, has that great a reputation.)

Otherwise, a great start of bringing a lot of elements together...
:)

Great lighting and colors (not to mention an attractive model:)) but the image is a bit softer than I'd expect. Ordinarily I'd think it was an AF calibration issue, but a bit of pixel-peeping on your part might be in order.
