I hope I'll have the funds if they'll make a KP successor in the future. I just love the retro look plus, its performance is excellent.

I have a K-3II and a K-5II. In terms of image quality the K-5II is much better.

Everyone is wishing for a better aperture control which should avoid the use of the problematic solenoid plus probably better AF. I'd love to have all of those things in an affordable camera. But my wish is if there will be a battery grip that would make the machine look mean and sexy.

How will affect us here in the Philippines? Will there be an online store for other Asian countries? Thanks

I don't know if this sales channel will improve sales here in the Philippines. Despite the fact that Pentax cameras are made here in Cebu, the presence of Pentax can't be felt by the camera fans in my city. As far as I can remember there are only a handful of people using Pentax in Iloilo City. Anyway, I've stopped buying from the authorized dealer here. I purchased majority of my equipment from a fellow Filipina who worked in Japan. But lately, her Facebook page seemed to have been inactive. Well maybe, if we can get the right channel, I'd be going for whatever system Ricoh will provide as long as they keep Pentax alive.

If budget is not the problem, go for the K-3III. It's much better in all aspects from the K-3/K-3II. Furthermore, if you go for the K-3III, you have the latest technology so when there will be some changes in lens designs you're camera can use newer lenses. An example would be the KAF4 lenses. The K-5 series have very good sensors and are still very capable cameras. I have a K-5II. I'm sad I can't use use KAF4 lenses.
If budget will affect the purchase, I'd say go for the K-3II.

If I had some spare cash when the KP was introduced, I would've bought 3 units probably. One for my son, one for my daughter and one for me. I love it's retro look and, the camera is no slouch when it comes to performance. I sure hope they'll introduce a mark 2 when I have some spare cash.

Went out for a shoot for 2 consecutive Saturdays, last week and today. I was the only one with a camera. So maybe we can say they (canikonyfu) are kinda rare during Saturdays and Pentax isn't that rare as a Pentax camera was roaming around the city. :):):)

It was a sad day for me when Olympus killed the 4/3 mount. I was in doubt if they’d ever support the m4/3 as they easily left their customers hanging just a couple of years after introducing the EVOLT system. So in December 2013, I started scouting for a system that will fit what I needed. I was left with 2 choices, Nikon or Pentax. Sony and Canon were of my list. I didn’t like their rounded shape bodies. I almost took the plunge for a Nikon D7000. Thank God I didn’t. I would’ve been running with a falling off mirror problem. As I looked at the Pentax system, I was attracted to its design particularly the K5II/s. The image quality was superb and the user feedback was positive. The ruggedness of Pentax DSLR system being weather sealed, the IBIS simply matched my character. I bought my K-5II in February 2, 2014 and my hands on it in February 6, 2014. I was stunned by the images it produced. Despite being criticized by the slow AF, I knew that this was the system for me. I slowly expanded my system acquiring additional lenses and ended up buying a K-3II in 2016. Now with the K-3III and the new lenses introduced in the pipeline, I am sure this will be my last system. I will purchase the K-3III and additional lenses in the future. I hope there will be a KP2 in a year or 2. I hope Pentax will continue to support the K-mount and the camera industry.

I wonder if it's possible that they can develop alight weight compact 100-400. I'd love to have a light weight long lens.
Nevertheless, for Pentax to continue developing new lenses is a good sign. It shows that company still has a positive outlook at the photo industry.
Personally, it boosts my confidence that Ricoh is committed to Pentax.

Yes, I remember his former videos and he said that he got very low ratings because he was giving positive reviews for Pentax. I remember he said that he won't make another review for Pentax. Then the inevitable came. He just started to bash the brand. Yes it's sad that his channel is all about money.

I don't think we will ever get a cheap DSLR. The K-70 exceeds the features and the quality of all entry level cameras considering that is weather sealed and all. Considering the difficulty in the photogaphy business, I think all companies are struggling for survival. The craze for DSLR has been replaced by cellphones.

I sure do hope that there will be a k-70 successor. Pentax needs to have a good entry level camera. I just hope they'll resolve the aperture block problem. That's the only fault I can find in that camera.
I'm wishing they'll continue the KP line. I love the retro look not to mention its performance.
I think that despite the negative reviews of anti Pentax people, the k-3III will bring in the sales.

I have this lens and I use it a lot. I'm sure the 11-18 is much better. However, considering its size and weight, I might purchase a 12-24 when my finances permits. I'd like to have an original Pentax super wide.

I've never been a fixed lens user but this lens seems like a good alternative to the very expensive and heavy 85 if I decide to go for prme lenses. I wish it wasn't that expensive.

I like APS-C. Photo Equipment is lighter and has more reach in focal length. In terms of image quality, the KP and the new K-3III are making an outstanding point in continuing cameras using the sensor.

IMO the only factor that won't attract new Pentax users to buy this camera is its price. With all it's honest reviews it will attract more on current Pentax users waiting for a camera with better AF. I still think it's a great upgrade from any Pentax APS-C camera.
