What is the actual benefit of mirrorless?

I think it comes down more to the fact that the KP has a substantial amount more resolution so it'll show the flaws a bit more. Though I've had some good luck with the peaking mode.

The M75-150 is a great light lens for telephoto landscapes, and really inexpensive too. @Northcoastgreg has done some beautiful shots with it, and I've been having a good experience with mine.

Here is a small collection of some of the stuff I've done with it. My favorite part about the lens is how consistent it is throughout the range.

That negative was really hard to print. It was really thin neg so burning and dodging times were super tight and it took me more tries than I care to count. It's still not perfect but I'm not going to go insane over it.

I mean going off experience, even with older computers a 20 min boot time is usually caused by an old install of the OS on a drive that's reaching capacity or dying. SSD will make even a 98 machine boot like lightning.

I wish this photo had slightly more depth of field, the prominent flower on the right of the frame being out of focus is a bit distracting.

The most amazing thing about the 645D to me is how it still fights against modern releases with a vengeance. IQ is not a reason you upgrade the 645D.

I've used the 43 and the 40 xs (which is the same optical design as the ltd). They are both stunning lenses in my book, especially for the form factor. They allow themselves to be with you wherever you go while offering a unique look.

Tak club on the second page? Blasphemy.

Here is a shot I took earlier this year that I wet printed yesterday at my dark room class. Shot with the Tak 35 f2.3 and tri-x 400. My trusty Spotmatic was the camera of choice.
The "scan" isn't great because the travel tripod I used to take the shot doesn't point down (so I just placed the book on my couch and propped it up with a remote control) and my actually good tripod doesn't have a head. Eventually I'll get around to scanning more of my prints.

To be fair a simple upgrade to an SSD would have solved that issue too.

Man, the Tak 50 1.4 is awesome!

To answer the thread though I don't really have a lens I hate that everyone likes (as I'm sure some of the ones I do are just copy variation), but the one lens that kinda disappointed me was the FA 43.
It just isn't better than the DA 40 at the same fstops.

I don't agree. I think a good black and white is determined by mood and use of contrast. Here are some of the favorites of mine.

If DSLR focusing screens were better I'd probably use the viewfinder a lot more, as it is though its probably like 60/40 with the viewfinder edging it out a bit.

For me the wire frame peaking helps a lot with that. Though to be fair that can only be used in daylight.

Pascal has made amazing strides in recent years. Delphi and Free Pascal/Lazarus have been helping Pascal to become a super modern language with tons of extra support.

For me it was an obvious choice because of the easier to understand syntax compared to its contemporaries while not giving up on flexibility like other educational languages. It's exciting because I've previously had issues with my other programming attempts but Pascal has really been intuitive for me.

You should check out some of the new stuff that has been going on:

https://www.lazarus-ide.org/
https://www.freepascal.org/

Heck you can even get a free version of Delphi now:

https://www.embarcadero.com/products/delphi/starter

Granted most of that stuff is out of my scope for now, but its exciting that I have such a smooth upgrade path once I improve.

Focus peaking is perfectly fine for on the fly manual focus. With practice you can be extremely quick. It is of course not as accurate as magnified live view (what is?) but I usually get critical focus or close to it.

I absolutely need it for macro shots and closeups on the field. It'd be a deal breaker for me not to have one. Not that I'm looking to replace my KP.
