You can set the ISO range for Auto in the menu settings, it's listed in your manual or you can download a copy from Pentax/Ricoh, under support

Using your Camera's user manual, set your green button up to give auto exposure when using an old manual lens.
Once set up, choose the aperture on the manual lens (M etc), focus your shot and then hit the green button to set your exposure/shutter speed.
This will help new users that use older lens's get a better exposure.

question about raw+jpg on two cards

When my card setting was set to Sequential, it was only saving Jpegs and no Raw files. After resetting my Camera to Default settings, it now saves Both Raw and Jpegs when card settings are set to Sequential. Well that's sorted and now if i don't want a file it deletes both files at the same time.
Thanks for the heads up Tjompen 1968

If you look at the card options on the K-3, it doesn't actually allow both file formats on the one card, thats one thing about the K-3 i don't like

Check your settings (K-3) and have the pic you just took display untill you tap the shutter button, that way if you don't like the pic you just hit the delete button and it deletes both raw and jpeg files together. It works because i do it just about every day ...... cheers

A Chance To Win 50mm Lens

Hi, my name is Rob and this is the reason i would like to win a new 50mm DA Lens. I had a bad accident back in 1994 and busted my back and ruptured both achillis heels and was told i would never walk again, thanks to taking up photography 2 years ago, i'm now walking with a stick and getting better with every venture i go on taking photos. I'm on a disability pension now, so having only cheaper lens etc, i could really do with a good DA 50mm lens. I've been learning to walk again since 1994 and photography has given me a new lease on life, being 55, i need to make the most of whatever years i have left and photography makes life so much better for me.
Here is my Photo of a very tiny jumping spider ... Thanks Rob

I know where your coming from, but where i live in the northwest, it's a bit like living down south in WA. Hobart way is like Seattle in the usa, but it's nice here with mild winters and about mid to late 20's in the summer. We have the scenery and wildlife here, i'd get sick of taking photo's of church's all the time ..... lol My little dig.
Welcome to Pentax Forums mate, looks like the place to be ..... cheers

G'Day fellow Pentaxians,
i'm new to Pentax Forums but not to Pentax.
I have been using Pentax Camera's for years and currently use the K-5 II, K-x and the Z10 SLR.
I first started with a RICOH KR-5 Super then upgraded to a Pentax P30, my next camera was the Z10
followed by my first DSLR, the K-x. I still use the Z10 as i still like to use film, i use the
K-x for Macro only and my new edition, The K-5 II i use for general photography : in my case
Nature Photography.
I hope to get to know people on here and would love to share ideas etc.

Thanks for reading my intro to Pentax Forums ........... TazmanDownunder (Rob)
