Thanks for all of the replies.
I actually have a MBP and iMac, both with Snow Leopard at 4GB and AP3. As mentioned I am new to photography and have not used AP3 enough to know if it will do everything I need. The performance for what I am doing now is more than adequate. I'm definitely not in a hurry to spend money so I will stick with AP3 until I have a need for something else.
The reason I started looking at other tools was because I wanted to add a watermark signature to photos as I exported them and saw a few threads that said you had to do it outside of AP3. This lead me to Photoshop or Elements which are supposed to be good tools to create them in.
Can anyone point me to a thread that discusses watermarks or make a suggestion..
Again thanks for the replies.

Okay. I purchased the Kata 467i; great bag. I also visited one of the local stores and compared it to the Lowepro 250 AW, also a good bag.
The Kata is more stylish, seems a little lighter and has a few more pockets.
The Lowepro definitely has more padding and seems studier overall.
Either is an excellent bag..I settled for the Kata. I am also adding the LowePro 102 AW.

Honestly I haven't used the tool enough to know what it may lack. I started looking for other products when I tried to create a signature watermark in AP3...My understanding is that I can't. That led to looking at photoshop.
Should AP3 be used as my primary editing tool?

Derridale - I'm new to the photography and the forum.
I am trying to decide what software I should purchase to manage and edit my photos...I am a MAC user and upgraded to Aperture 3.01 after I lost functionality when I upgraded to Snow Leopard.
Now that I have upgraded I realize that I need a good editing package. I actually thought Aperture was editing software but find it is mostly workflow and an organizational tool.
Long story short I a need to add photo editing software to my suite and was looking for suggestions..
I see you mentioned NIK add-ins, do they provide most of the functionality to Aperture that I would get in one of the Adobe CS4 product? I have been looking at Adobe Creative Suite 4 Web Premium so that I may also do web design.
Any suggestions?

I haven't received my K7; should arrive tomorrow.
I am already thinking about the number of bags I will have to pack for a short trip...I wanted to decrease the number by at least one and combine the DSLR and laptop. I intend to pick up the LowePro 102 AW as a walk-around bag.
Thanks for the response..

New to the forum. Did a search but no results.
I just purchased a K7 with kit lens and looking for opinions on bags that can also hold a laptop. Any recommendations?
Thanks.
