Sticking Shutter on a 3 year old Pentax K1

Twice this week during multi-shot sequences, the view finder went black. The second time live view still worked but it was black through the view finder. The problem was corrected by turning the camera off and on

Question, is this something that could be corrected by a good camera cleaning or is the shutter on my 3 year old Pentax K1 dieing?

Any help would be appreciated

Dear Pentax Folks

I'm relying on your collective wisdom.

A high level government official visited my non-Profit Organization and as a follow-up, my management would like to send five of my photos from the visit as a thank-you. (Yea Pentax quality).

So now I need some recommendations for a nice/professional looking way to display the 5 photos. I was thinking of some type of leather folding portfolio, however maybe you have better idea!

Many thanks!

As an archaeologist, distortion is killer. Any recommendations for a prime or zoom that is 24 mm or wider that provides a good rectilinear image?

So many thanks

I use a non-retinal display 2012 MacBook Pro 13 for editing on the road. At home I use a 27" BENQ- monitor. The correlation between the two calibrated monitors is very good.

Thus, for an initial sorting and non-professional stuff, the 13" monitor is fine. Two other additions to the laptop that makes processing possible: 1) 16 GB of ram and 2) an SSD drive. The latter is essential for running Photoshop...

One more. One of the biggest surprises for me on the DaF 100mmF2.8 was bokeh. Truly creamy... Aside from the sharpness of the subject, the out of focus aspects of this lens are top notch..

Pentax K1 over-expose highlights?

I was shooting side by side this weekend (for two different fireworks events) with a K-1 and a K-3. I was surprised that my K1 tended to over expose more frequently then the K3 even though the same exposure, aperture and shutter speed settings were used.. I still haven't ruled out settings differences, but it is worth further evaluation.

As a photoshop elements user I enjoy Topaz Detail (great sharpening), topax denoise (great grain removal) and to a less extent, topaz lens and topaz adjust.

My answer? Take two cameras. When I aerialshoot, I take one with a FA77mm and the other with a FA31mm. No zooms, no lens switching and importantly less stomach upset as I attempt to frame a shot. Other advantage, I shoot with one camera while the buffer clears on the second.
