Five weeks ago I started a small renovation which turned into a total disaster and lasted almost a month:) I know, what you mean - good luck, stay cool :)

Sorry to hear that, and good luck.
I'm also on the brink of giving up - I've been struggling to find spare time for the past few weeks. So far I've managed to keep up.

Things run fast :) Some folks have already posted February pictures and I didn't even dig out my lens from the drawer :)

I enjoyed this month with the Pentax-F 50/1.4. I wanted to buy this lens for quite a long time and eventually, I bought it via our marketplace. I like the build quality of the F-series (ok, nothing will beat the M-series but when it comes to AF, I prefer F over FA) and I also have 50/1.7 version (very likely I will sell it).
The sharpness wide open is very good although it requires precision in focusing. The best results I get by fine-tuning the focus by focus peaking. Below f/2.0 the contrast is a bit low but above it gets much better. Below my favorites. Thanks for all the comments!

I think I'm in, with either the A-28/2.8 or the A-135/2.8. The latter one has a glue separation but so far I didn't notice its impact on photos.

Very busy day; picture taken but I have no energy for pp and uploading today. And I think I could qout Sandy by saying, that I got mail and it pleased me a lot! It could be the theme for tomorrow.

As far as I don't have similar adventures with other systems (or maybe I do? I fell in a sort of affair with Minolta SLRs) I also miss my other lenses. During the SiC month, there are maybe 4-5 days when I shoot with the lens other than SiC one. And I miss my DA21 and even plastic fantastic DA35!

One or two year ago I sold off almost all my film-age gear. Most of it was Minolta and as soon as I sold it I started missing it. Recently I started shooting some film again (with ME Super) so I started re-collecting the setup similar to the one I used to use in the past: Minolta X-300 (plus variants: 300s, 370... I need to sell some of these) and Minolta X-500 (great camera). Would be nice to buy X-700 to complete the trio. Lenses between 28 and 135.

I lost mine from K-50. Found it, used cyanoacrylate adhesive to fix it in place - has been good for the last 2 years.

I thought I'm in trouble as I have bought two manual bodies and three lenses within a week (all Minolta). Now I can see that my case is rather easy compared to what has happened to Sandy :)

Lucky you! According to the calendar, there is winter now in Poland but the weather is quite confusing: around 5C with some rain from time to time. There was some snow a week ago (lasted a couple of hours). There was some sun yesterday (the same). Grey is the dominant color. I'd prefer to see either winter (high time!) or spring (too early I'm afraid) instead of that unspecified mix...
(Ha! So I'm complaining on the weather! A few years back I'd say only old guys do it!)

Sorry for late posting, but the renovation at home reached climax when it comes to the mess and demolishing :) Hopefully it will be better from tomorrow but I think I'll be posting in bursts for some time. So I caught up with posting and will try to do so with commenting. I saw plenty of nice pictures in the threads.

Partly, yes - but I'm either involved in dirty work (so have no time for shooting) or I'm at my own work (so not at home). But I posted some wires today ;)

That sky is kind of magic, so you deserved it ! :)

Small renovation at home turned into a total disaster, so I'm having difficulties with accessing computer, internet etc. I've been shooting daily but I don't think I can do any pp and uploading before Sunday.

Thanks for a great tutorial. I have just finish repair on my A-50/1.7. Initially, I wanted to use screws but the smallest size I have is 2x6 mm which is too big. I used an epoxy instead and it works great! The biggest challenge was to reassemble everything (took me 50% of the time and I almost lost the little bearing ball) but it works!
Thanks once again, cheers!

So a couple of posts above I've mentioned that December has been pretty tough for me and I guess it's time to take a break. Today, I actually did take a shot with the SiC in mind but I don't like it at all. Instead of fighting for inspiration these dark short days I'll try something different, maybe load the Delta 3200 into my ME Super. I'll probably be back in January.
And to make a short wrap-up, below are my favorites from this month - DA15 is a great and very capable lens, although I'll probably make better use of it in the spring. Thanks for all the comments from this month!

This afternoon I claimed the grand raffle entry after completing 100 posts. Soon after that, I posted the lens review. To my understanding, I should have seen 20 more posts on my "counting bar" - but I don't. Am I missing something?
