When I have something good I plan to let go I always offer to my fellow daily posters first. I bought this camera a few weeks back,

Sony A7II with 24-70 lens, with Sony battery charger (does not come originally with camera) not a mark on it and took maybe 300 shots...so far.
I got this camera for my manual lenses and expanding into Sony lenses a bit. I have changed my mind and realized it was a silly move on my part, I am not going to use it much.
So I will sell it for $900 CDN or trade for lightly used Pentax KP

I can second what TonyW says, the first shots look OK to me and the second shots are darker. For quite some time I had to edit using a laptop and screen brightness depended on the angle of the screen to my view. I have just built my self a new PC and for a while I was darkening my photos and all along it was my monitor needing to be re-calibrated,

what are the best spare batteries to get?

Depends on the camera? I have a K70 and the Pentax battery is OK but I really would not want a lot less shots from the batteries. I have 2 wasabi batteries and now one will only give 50 shots and the other around 150. I went out and bought OEM Pentax instead worth the extra cost.

Now my K5-K01 I do have "bigmikes" and "este" lose a few shots from these and it goes un noticed due to getting lots of shots per battery and never really counting after a while.

For my Olympus cameras I have some "upstart" batteries and I would rate them as just plain trash, with a mirrorless stick to the OEM stuff.

I used "photoscape" for years till I bought DXO
Photoscape is a nice free program that will batch convert DNG to jpeg and has a nice editor as well. Worth checking out.

Oh I quite enjoy it all, its the lack of subject material, least stuff I have not took before. I am thinking of finding a theme list of every day of the year to give me some ideas. Nothing creative like you though, just simple and quick.

I do agree with everything said, just wish a macro lens had been added. I have an Oly EM10 and yea it takes better photos, but the Q is just so much fun. Bold monchrome setting is amazing.
I would say my in order of most useful Q lens, 01, 06, 02, 08, 03 and the rest.

K70 as a K5 upgrade?

When I place my K5IIs next to my K70 the size seems the same to me, so the excuse about small form factor does not excuse the poor battery choice. The K5 is way heavier if thats a concern and the rear LCD is smaller on the K70 due to being set in a flippy screen holder. Is the K70 a good camera? yes it is and If it was my first camera I would not have noticed the battery size. I will say though if you buy extra batteries for your K70 dont get third party batteries due getting less shots than a Pentax battery, I learnt the hard way by buying 2 wasabi and I get 50 shots from one and about 100 from the other.
Do I regret buying my K70? Yes in few ways I do.
But I will add a shot here from my K70 =)

K70 as a K5 upgrade?

Well the K70 does take a great photo thats for sure. For me the only way to experience a new camera is online and read reviews, no camera stores around here for any make of camera let alone a Pentax.
So, what do I think? Apart from photos I hate the camera, the grip is uncomfortable, the battery life is just plain terrible unless you turn the screen around and never chimp. The flippy screen I dont like off to one side. The shutter sound is really loud and after using a K5 you will really notice. If you lived closer I would let you take it for a spin.

I have not used it for quite a while and went out and bought myself a K5IIS and that is a pure joy of a camera for me. I looked at the KP but after seeing it takes the same battery it puts me off, wish they used the same K5 battery.

I have a Q10, Q7 and QS-1 along with all Q lenses. But I would like to add another option if you dont have a Q camera and any lenses.

I use a clearviewer on my bricks, one hand across the top and where its close to the face glare is removed. if you also wear a ball hat then its even better.

This is going to be a good month, I can feel the force. I have a K5IIS coming, and a Lumix 14mm. Pepper berry farm would not sell me his K5iis so I had to go shopping.
Now to sell my K70 and all will be well, till my next bout of GAS.

Happy New Year to you also,
Being the boring chap I am, I went to bed around 10pm last night so missed the neighbours trying to blow up their houses or maim themselves setting off fireworks while intoxicated =)
Nah its not that bad =) The days of leaning out the door and shooting guns is gone though =)

Wonder what camera stuff I can buy in 2019,

Maybe sell some of my unused stuff?.............yea right be like chopping off an arm
