Rollei A110, Fukkatsu 400

For regular 35mm film (non panos) I use my digicam (currently a Z7, but did the exact same thing with the D850 and D750 before it), attach a Nikon 60mm AF macro lens, add the Nikon ES-2 film holder onto that (they are designed to work in unison), point it at a $20 Amazon light pad and snap away in RAW.
The images are converted with negativelabpro.

For 110/120/35mm panos I use the same camera/lens, but a $150 copy stand from ebay (don't invert a tripod, it is so much harder to use accurately and copy stands are meant for this).
I use the Lomo Digitliza holders and the rest is the same as above.

Big important part - I shoot/scan at F11 to make sure there is enough across the image DOF to take care of any lack of flatness. And min ISO.

Thanks! Shooting 110 film is a bunch of fun. The make or break is in scanning it - I use a digicam and follow the same process as if it was 35 or 120 film. Just because it is 110 doesn't mean it doesn't deserve the same attention!

I've always wanted a black Pentax KX film camera.
Samys.com had one on their site, for $80! Fully working, pics of it looked awesome. 1 year warranty.
I could not believe my luck.

Opened the box. Inside was something called a Kx digital camera that looked like a black jelly bean...
Disappointment set at level 11 of 10..

(They did apologize profusely and sent a return shipping label. Apparently they had the wrong pics and description for the camera...)

Heavy sigh, chin up, life will go on..

What are your biggest photo purchase disappointments?

Pentax Auto110, 24mm 2.8, Fuji Superia 200 expired 2006.

It is such a bummer this film has been long discontinued as it is quite a bit sharper than Lomo Tiger, and I find the colours a little nicer.

No issues with the film apart from it needing to be unjammed before use!

I was just looking at my Prod 20's! And wondering where I put the battery that it uses, as it is an unusual size and it's no-where to be found.
Interesting that your shot didn't focus on the chain link fence, but nailed the LandRover.

I've seen a bunch of ads on ebay where the seller claims the lens is a 50 1.2, is asking $400+ for it, when all the pictures show it is a 50 f2!

A couple of times I've messaged them pointing out the error, to be ignored. Guess then that is deliberate to see if anyone can be suckered into buying it.
Of note, I have also messaged ebay, to be ignored by them too..

My Pentax collection, some of it to be sold off soon:

Tartan Pentax LX recently serviced.
Black MX
Black K2
P30T
90 WR
Auto110 full kit

and, er... just bought a black KX from Samys Camera as I always wanted to try one out. I'm not keen on my MX (I think it is a very overrated camera) as I find the LEDs in the viewfinder very hard to see in daylight, while the KX has a magnificent needle display.

With Pliobond you are meant to apply to both surfaces and let dry before attaching.

I just reattached the 'leather' on my Minolta Prod 20S with it. Works perfectly.

Defective Fuji 110 film?

So the second cartridge was a failure too.. I tried to break free the film before loading it, but unfortunately broke some teeth off again. Even though it was maybe a third of a tooth on the three teeth that I damaged, it was enough to prevent the film from loading. 2 films trashed, 18 left....
The third one - also stuck, But this time I was much much more careful and managed to break the film free from whatever was binding up. It loaded, advanced and shot through the Pentax with zero issues, and is now getting developed. I am actually very interested to see how it will come out seeing it is Fuji Superia, that is from 2006..

I also took apart the roll that just failed to see if I could figure out what was amiss. The film and the backing paper were not stuck together. At all. Looked perfect. So somehow something was sticking between the film/backing paper and the spool side that it was in. I was hoping to see some tell tale signs on the inner plastic of the container but there were none. The gear/sprocket end was fine because it rotated freely backwards and then forwards before the slack was used up.

Anyway, the Pentax Auto110 really is fun to shoot so I'm going to be using it a lot more.
