Unfortunately, that model did not show up in the searching I did prior to purchasing my L-bracket. The custom brackets that I found were all like $100-$150 at the time.

Fenwoodian I think that solution would work. However, the loop for a strap is on that side of the bracket so I'd lose that option. I'll have to see how annoying it is to loosen the bracket to change the battery versus losing the strap option.

Since I couldn't find very good information on this forum regarding a universal L-bracket for the K-1, I thought I'd go ahead and create a post showing my solution. While an L-bracket can be a very handy accessory, I don't use one enough to justify the relatively high cost of a custom fit model. I researched a number of universal L-brackets after carefully measuring the relevant dimensions of the K-1. Fortunately it's not hard to find the measurements for most universal L-brackets. The best candidates appeared to be from Sunwayfoto and 3 Legged Thing. I had previously found a good solution for my K-3 with a Sunwayfoto model (described in a previous post), but the K-1 requires a significantly bigger bracket with no ridge on the mounting surface. After comparing product specs to the K-1 dimensions, I selected the 3 Legged Thing QR10-L. I'm quite pleased with this product. I think the fit is excellent for a universal product. You do lose access to the HDMI jack cover with this product, but I very rarely use this cover so that is inconsequential to me. You have to loosen the bracket to swap the battery, but I don't expect that to bother me. The plate comes with a cloth storage bag, an extra tripod screw and a multi-tool that is used to tighten the tripod screw. It appears that the two sides of the bracket can be separated, but not with the multi-tool as it does not fit. The base of the bracket only has one slide-stopper and the other side has no slide-stoppers so that could be a shortcoming. I'll have to be careful when inserting and removing the bracket from my ball head. The color may not be everyone's top choice but it doesn't bother me. BTW I have no connection or affiliation with this company or product.
