PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing

Item for Sale
SMC Pentax-A 645 Macro 1:4 120mm with Tiffen Haze-1 and 645-K Adapter

Asking Price
300.00 USD

Item Location
Seattle, WA (United States)

Item Description
Very nice 645 120mm Macro for sale. I have purchased a smaller, lighter Sigma 105 so no need for the last of my 645 lenses.

This lens rates very high, is very sharp, just a little on the heavy side

I comes with a k-mount rear cap, 645 to K (manual) adapter, and Tiffen 67mm Haze1 filter (no front cap).

There is some scratching on the barrel (see closeup photo), but this in no way affects the function of the lens.

I am starting at $300 including the adapter, filter & shipping within the U.S. but am open to reasonable offers.

Hmmm...I sold my 645 a while back but I'm trying to picture the contacts for the battery holder in the grip. Have you checked/cleaned all the connection points between the batteries/holder and holder/grip?

Hi Sigma fans!
Hoping someone here can answer a quick question for me. I just purchased a 70-200mm 2.8 APO EX (non-Macro, non-DG, non-HSM version) and, yes, I am very excited to get out shooting with it. Issue is that it doesn't have the tripod collar which I think will come in handy. There are third party collars on the auction site but they are all listed as fitting the latest version of this lens "SIGMA APO 70-200mm F2.8 II EX DG MACRO HSM".

Would anyone know if the diameter of the lens barrel where the collar attaches is the same for both versions? The sellers are all off shore and I don't know if they will answer knowledgeably or just say "yes" to get the sale.

Thanks

Thanks Centino! I had a lot of fun...I haven't shot at night for years, maybe because my old DS2 had too much noise or I didn't know how to handle the PP very well. But now with the K-5 and the Nifty Fifty "excuse" to get out and shoot, I think it's re-opened that world to me. I have never gone out with just one lens before either...normally I'm messing around, switching it up to have the "right" lens or zooming a lot. I think I'll have to try a "single in March" challenge.

Well the timing was perfect with the lens arriving just before our "date night" in Seattle. My better half put up with me snapping away as we walked through the waterfront district and then later at a concert. Photos are now posted to Flickr and I'll be packing up the lens and shipping it tomorrow to Woolly.

Maybe at the wake afterwards but probably not during. Unfortunately, having moved quite a few times over the last 20 years, funerals are sometimes the only place you get to see some long lost family & friends and a few group shots, IMO, are OK when everyone isn't crying.

Question When do marketplace listings move to the expired thread?

Hi,
When searching to satisfy my LBA, I found some listings that have had no updates for quite a while so I checked the expired thread and it's empty. Maybe listings move to expired after a while and we just can't see them?
Just curious because I don't want to PM someone that has sold and didn't update or is no longer interested in selling. My suggestion would be to automatically move to expired if there has been no new postings on the thread for 30 days.
I did look in the Marketplace rules and couldn't find anything on expired listings so sorry if this a noob question that has been asked & answered. :)
Thanks.

It was near the town of Paia on Maui, quite a famous surfing spot. We were on the headland, above and to the right of the breakers. Fairly bright day with some passing clouds. If you are shooting on dark days, you will want a camera that can handle some high ISO so you can keep the shutter speed up. Here's another one at full frame and cropped. 1/750, F6.7, 300mm, ISO 100. I don't think the detail is stellar (that could very possibly be due to a little camera shake or inaccurate focusing on my part) but still usable images IMHO.

+1 for the 55-300. Good all around lens, not pro-quality, but you won't get pro for that price. Here's a surfing shot (cropped) that I took from ~ 100-150 meters.

Food Lemon Meringue Pie

I have not done many food shots but this pie turned out so nice, I had to shoot it before it disappeared. This was just done under the kitchen table light, handheld. I think I should have set up the tripod for a longer exposure & greater DOF, but the pie was begging to be eaten and the kids couldn't wait any longer. I tried to get the sharpest focus on the highlights.

Hi,
I found your site just last week while googling around about flashes and found it very comprehensive. It cleared up a couple misconceptions I had on the different types available for Pentax and the comparison charts are particularly helpful when trying to choose a flash. Thanks for creating & maintaining the site!

Nothing wrong with those, nice color, good detail on the "leaf in snow" shot. How's the focus/shutter lag on the I-10? That's the main thing my better half complains about with our P&S. Thanks for posting.
