New monitor - image saturation issues

Thanks all for the replies. Searched through some more old threads, which were informative. Discovered that I'd inadvertently changed my LR5 export color space setting to ProPhoto RGB. When i switched it back to sRGB, things straightened out. Monitor calibration is up next...

Much appreciated,
Brandon

New monitor - image saturation issues

Hi all,

If this has been covered before, I apologize, but couldn't find this exact question in a prior thread.

I'd been processing on a Sony Vaio laptop for some time, using mainly LR4. I calibrated color using only the native tool in the control panel, never an external device. When I web-published my images and viewed them on other devices (other computers, iPhone, etc) they always looked mostly like they looked on my laptop screen after processing. I recently ditched the laptop and upgraded to a new IPS monitor. I still process mainly in LR (though now 5, upgraded from 4). The first few sets of images I've processed appear (obviously) as I want them to on the IPS monitor screen, but when viewed on other devices (another laptop I own, iPhone, etc) they appears significantly desaturated from what I see on the IPS screen (though the degree of desaturation seems to vary based on the other device I'm viewing on).

Can anybody assist with what might be going on and how I can fix it?

Greatly appreciate any help.

Best,
Brandon
