I would get the DA* 300 mm, its available for 700-1000 USD or the 60-250 mm (similar price) used on ebay... if that's not an option I'd get the newest DA55-300mm

Plus a plate for my DA* 300, love it! If I remember right I got the LP70 to use it with.

it is possible with the K-3(II)! It is probably not the best tool but with practice it should be ok. I use the center point for 99% of the time, sometimes i would wish to have some more points on the side especially in portrait mode...

ignore the Lens ID something went wrong while removing details from the EXIF: FA* 28-70 mm F2.8

That's two of the surfing pics I took. I quickly checked the in focus in general, it's good! Most of the images are in focus there is one or two that the user did the error, me! When he moved to quickly... it was the K-3, DA* 300 plus HD 1.4 TC makes it a 420mm lens.
It was perfect weather... and I was shooting in high burst mode.... there where even people that walked in my FOV.... not the best pics of the sets but should work for illustration...:-)

I took some pics of my friend while he was ski surfing. The K-3 did a great job actually I was really impressed by the performance. Had the DA*300 on it.

hm maybe you need to calibrate the focus point in addition, its for most lens / camera combinations required. and is is quite easy for a prime lens and more important if you want to use small F numbers.
have you experienced on a regular basis that your focus is in front or behind your subject / object? Can be different per lens...
a quide how to do the calibration can be found here: Front- and Back-Focus - Articles and Tips | PentaxForums.com
or https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/38-photographic-technique/216496-anybody-...inetuning.html

Polar and ND grad filters 100mm, square

i got the NISI its very well made (got the kit with holder, Polarizer, ND 10 Stops and ND gradient) got some additional adapters 49-82, 58-82 & 62-82 to cover most of my lenses :-)
It is expensive.... and i think it's only worth it if you want to use special ND filters (reverse, hard, gradient)
but its big piece (a lot of small pieces sums up) of gear to take with...
The polarizer comming in the kit is a circular one that can be rotated with a special thumbscrew on the square filter holder
