I tried the lense on sony A7 with M42 adapter, it seems it never able to focus on infinity.

I searched around internet it seems not many information about it, is it confirm M39 will lose infinity on M42 body?

Hi all,

I recently got this MIR-1 lense, which is m39 thread, after an m39 to m42ring, and through an pentax original M42 to pk adapter, will it be ok to use on pentax k-30 body?

I notice the rear of lense is extruding out a bit more, will it hit the mirror?

check internet i can't find any info, so i assume it is ok. But no harm to ask around here.

thanks.

the lense is ok with autofocus on camera.. but not manual focus. If i take off the lense itself, the manual focus distance is just limited and blocked. i noticed the screw move as the limited range, the focus scale move limited.

I don't understand why it is moving on camera with autofocus but not manual focus on camera of off camera.

Hi all,

I got a second hand 43mm limited lense, it works fine on camera with autofocus. But I found out when i switch to manual focus, the lense won't move freely in range.

I remove the lense and try to move the focus ring but it move only little bit and feel like stuck.

But it works with autofocus on camera. Which I can't figure it out.

anyone has an idea what is the problem of the lense? is it an easy fix?

thanks.

Hi all,

I tried out this software and seems it is the only software which can read the in camera image setting, which apply to jpg of raw files.

I tried to multiple process all edited images by right click 'multiple process' under the laboratory tab.

I save them as tiff but it seems the edit on raw files are not transferred.

I can only do one by one by click 'save as image processing'..

i am doing a timelapse so how can I multiple process all images?

hope i just overlook how to do it.. if you guys use this software how did you multiple process all images?

The tilt shift effect i refer to is correcting the distortion, do you guys think most wide angle lense can be corrected through lightroom and photoshop perfectly?

12-24mm F4 zoom sounds good..at least 12x1.5 is 18mm wide enough

Hi all,

I saw some urban photos using canon 17mm TS, which achieve good results.

i wonder what is the option for pentax for it? since pentax no full frame and no Tilt Shift lense..

15mm limited lens will become 15x1.5=22.5mm, using lense profile correction will be good enough for distortion?

what is the closer option?

k-30 in camera custom image setting

Hi All,

I shoot raw+jpg in pentax k-30, i use sometimes the custom image setting like cross process.. but when i load in lightroom the raw files won't keep the setting.

I tried to download the silkypix 3 but it seems the raw files setting is not kept as well.

the baked jpg is always not the final image i want but it will be easy if i can start edit the raw file with the in camera setting.

I wonder is there a way to preserve the raw files setting? so I can start to edit from that point?

thanks.

DA limited lense question

so the DA limited aperture is not as wide as FA limited because pentax wanted to make it more compact.

one thing i like wide aperture is the render of the image or bokeh, i wonder is DA limited to a good job as FA limited?

i saw some of the FA limited is in used market as expensive.. maybe due to hard to find,.I want some lense to use instead of keep as collection so want to know how DA limited compare to FA limited..

To have more choice, i think recently there is new DA limited HD too?

DA limited lense question

Hi guys,

i am trying to get some good quality lense just to try out.. I read about pentax quality lense are limited version.

There are 3 FA limited which designed for film SLR before, so there are DA limited lense now which designed for DSLR.

I have a question why all the DA limited aperture is not as wide as FA limited? what is the reason? is it not necessary for DSLR?

I read some comments FA limited doesnt perform the best on DSLR as some purple edge issue. Do you guys think DA limited will be better suited to DSLR? as i notice FA limited was expensive as it is like a collected items.

yes i have edited it.

basically i would like to replace the zoom with better quality glass and also better bokeh, i realise the F4 gives good bokeh too..

I wonder is 16-50DA* too heavy compare to the other two.

Hi all,

is there a way to make GR name folder by date just like pentax DSLR?

I got the folder like 102RICOH which i find it is not useful. I copy to hard drive and import to lightroom but it is not useful than folder in date which i can easily look for the day, and also don't put every folder in one single folder.

thanks.

I think it is a common thing for lens to have halo when point to strong light. My gr will have it too.

Is it a camera defects?
