Nice work Aapo 👏👏👏
You've blended many of your photography skills and recently acquired videography ones into a very enjoyable presentation. Lots of nice bokeh, beaut. focus transitions and interesting compositions/perspectives that show off the park really well. The audio backing works for me too. Thanks for sharing here, and good luck with your application.

Well, despite all the foregoing enthusiasm, I'm going to take May off. I'll still be enjoying the pictures posted, but I don't think I can make the daily commitment to posting something at least half decent every day and commenting. Have fun friends; I look forward to returning in June.

Write what you want mate; the interaction between players is integral to the health of the DIC group. You've given me a hearty chuckle at breakfast this morning, thinking of you struggling with your GAS :D

I'm a strong adherent of trying to get the best of all worlds; there is no right or wrong and warring over perceptions is just stupid. Life's too short. I am blessed to have several Pentax bodies including the FF K1, and like many others I'm still sweating on the final specs of the new flagship APS-C model. But I've also had a Sony FF A7Rii for a couple of years now and it's my go-to body for adapted lenses (enlarger, projector, rangefinder) and very often for manual lenses too, especially shooting macro. Its much lighter weight is a big plus; instant direct access to the sensor is so convenient for detaching dust bunnies, and I don't find battery life an issue. For a whole lot of other reasons though, the bulk of my shooting is with my Pentax bodies. And, I really don't think I could live without Astrotracer/GPS.

Confession game: how many lenses do you have? Why do you keep them? Which was let go?

I am too far behind to even consider making a list; I'm not even sure I know exactly how many lenses I have. However, it is close to 100, as I buy but never sell. And yes, I do try to use them all, primarily through PF's Daily In challenge and 83 of them (ie. different lenses) have attracted Explores on Flickr. Hopeless but content.

pepperberryfarm and minimonster may have opened a can of worms, or is it just me?
I had never heard of Pi Day until I read this morning’s thread, but seeing that it’s a slack Sunday, and that I’ve already got my pictures for today, and that I’ve had a couple of glasses of Pinot with lunch, I looked up Pi Day on Google. As it turns out I’ve missed it - March 14 - which in many countries is written as 3/14 - the first three digits of Pi (3.14). Downunder though we write dates as day/month/year so we get another chance on July 22nd (22/7), which astute readers will recognize as the fractional expression of Pi.

However, as I type this nonsense, I’m aware that it’s still yesterday in some parts of the world, and so, in recognition of Pi Day, and in deference to Archimedes, I offer below a Pi-cropped frame (W/H = 22/7) of a big ocean swell that I was indulgently drooling over this morning. For the enthusiasts, there’s also an inverse-Pi crop on Flickr. Enjoy your weekends!

Given the apparent enthusiasm for B&W in our group at present, perhaps it should be fostered by having a Black & White THEME DAY nominated for a day later this month :D ??
