Not pro astrophotography pictures but I wanted to share just a couple shots with the Pentax Fisheye zoom lens.
From Lake Huron, still frozen! :) It was pretty cold! Alignment is not perfect and light pollution was pretty bad too.
Best,
sebastian

Great shot! And very nice to use the glowsticks! Here is my first attempt to shot the Milky Way (resized image)
Location: Strawberry crater, Az. :)
5 images of 20 sec ISO 1600. Unfortunately I took those in jpg mode...
Stacking in MaximDL, the stacking is not so good either.

Hi!
Amazing pics everyone! I can't wait to get my camera and
contribute with some shots here. :)
I'm trying to find a good lens for astrophotography. I'm looking to take wide angle shots of the night sky and hopefully, some time lapses. .
I think that a fast lens would be great (2.8 or faster) for this purpose, and it would help to get
a nice psf for the stars. (to be point-like)
So, for that purposes, I think that a manual lens would be a nice thing to try considering that it would
help my budget too. I'm just starting my photo addiction here.
Do you have any suggestion about manual (legacy) lenses for that?
thank you!
All the best.
sebastian
