Do you know where in Cebu the factory is? I wonder if there is anyway I can get a quick checkup on my K7 and K20 while I am out there next year.

It shuts off when I open the card slot and powers back up when I close it, but it fails.
I would be afraid to open it up...

Hi.
I just added a used GX20 to my bag and it is having some issues. Whenever I do anything with the SD slot (ie. open the door, remove the card) the camera hangs up on me. The camera will, at that point, have power but can't resolve any tasks. The shutter and DOF preview will work, but all other buttons won't. Powering it down doesn't work, instead it seems to kill half the power only. The only way to get the thing to work like normal is to pull the battery and reinstall.
Otherwise, this body is like new with less than 4k clicks, according to PhotoMe. The original owner is offering me a refund, but I would like to keep the camera as long as this issue isn't the lid to a can of worms.
I have let the battery drain and recharged it to see if that would help- nope.
I also updated to the newest firmware to remedy the issue and that didn't help either.
So, if anyone knows how to fix this, please let me know.

I was looking at apps on my Android phone and saw one where you can speak to text. WTF would anyone want to do that? Don't you text so you don't have to talk? LOL.

I don't like it. I don't like anything that is touchscreen only. I need an actual interface that I can feel. Buttons, buttons and more buttons. Hell, even switches are good.
I got a DSLR for the easy access via buttons, switches and dials.

Since you're holding off on selling just the diffuser, can you tell us where we can get one of those?

k7 is SUPER QUIET! Some people might get offended when they pose and think you don't take their shot, lol. Happens to me all the time. 'Did you take my picture?"

I have a Panasonic LX3, it is way better than the g9 I sold to buy it. G9 has a lot more access to controls, LX3 has 24mm f2.0.

Hi,
Not sure if this is how my K7 has always been, but I just noticed that when after I press the shutter button, it lags coming back up to the resting position. While handling the camera just now, it seemed that it took a lot longer than usual for the button to return so I fired off a bunch of shots and even turned the camera off just to press and release the button numerous times. It seems a bit better, now, after having done that, but still slow. I am uploading a video I took of the button to youtube and will link it here.
For those of you with a K7, is your camera doing the same thing or might my camera have a weak or faulty spring?

Mr. Goreman, you did the right thing. I am sure it took a hell of a lot of self control, especially once he put a hand on you, much more so when he put his head to you. Man, it would've been a great feeling to toss him into the side of your truck, but his stupid a$$ falling is just as good. I don't condone violence, I've been tried and tested many a times and have always done my best to keep my hands to myself. This dude had something coming, and it's probably best that you didn't give it to him. One day, he will try his crap on the wrong person, and even then, hopefully, it doesn't get out of hand when he gets his ass served to him on a plate.
Now since this is PentaxForums, I wish you took a photo of this jackass. :)
