Was clear throughout in Whangavegas fantastic show... with the q7 on my 6 inch reflector only get a crop of the moon not the whole image.
haven't had a look at the shots yet, what got me going most was looking at the Orion nebula when the moon was gone not to mention Jupiter which was pretty clear too

Thanks for your extensive reply. I am tending towards both on distance. Obviously the viewfinder diopter will take care of that but I do tend to look at the K-1s top lcd etc and don't want to be mucking about with glasses for that

Dunno yet, the measurement consultation is next Thursday.
My neighbour has one long and one medium and says no issues. I got her to cover the short eye and report closest focus, she can read at arms length.
I was surprised at the depth of focus she has with that one.
Still leaning towards both long but we will see ;)

Just picked up second hand Baader Maxbright binoviewer for my Newtonian telescope. My pair of Pentax 8.5 mm eyepieces and I are waiting eagerly :-)

Hi folks,
I'm about to have my cataracts done in a while and have yet to make up my mind whether to go for both eyes distance or one distance and one intermediate.
I'm worried that with both distant I won't be able to operate the camera very well and I don't want to have to be putting on glasses to do that.
interested to hear what people's experiences are.
thanks very much

I talked to the Auckland branch and they were just going to send it on anyway so thought I'd cut out the middle human
Had great experience with them in the past

Not a bad price considering it was hardly run in
The 77 has failed AF with attendant crunching noise, apparently not unknown :(
Paid for itself with this one, wide open for some reason :)
