To change mount, or not to change mount?

I don't know if an adapter is possible because Icarex mount is wider. Maybe there is a way to make an adapter that's wider and only 2.5mm thick... There is an Icarex to Canon adapter, and from there you can adapt it to a mirorrless. Which I have done, but my Fuji isn't working right, so I am wondering if just sticking the Icarex mount on a Pentax will do the trick...

Registration distance is different, so I assumed I won't get infinity. Plus, if I'd rather lose a K100D in the process, than Ultron...

Hmm, I can venture a guess, but could be way off, of course. Well, here it is: C - Zeiss, B - A*, A - SMC.

To change mount, or not to change mount?

I have an Icarex 35S camera that needs CLA. It came with a CZ Ultron, which I really like. I am thinking of getting a Fuji camera specifically for that lens. Yesterday I pulled out the Icarex and was looking at it again. And then I had an idea. I hope you are patient and lenient with me, because I don't know anything about electronics or mechanics... But I thought, what if I take that mount off of the Icarex, and put it on my K100D, that's been sitting in the cupboard collecting dust? Worst case scenario, I can just put the mount back... Not sure if the Pentax will survive it though. If I slap the mount on, I may be fine for infinity focus. Icarex is 48mm, Pentax is 45.47, so I should be able to add another 2.5mm to get infinity focus, right?

Now, does that sound completely stupid or I can actually get it to work?

Fuji mirrorless cameras...why change systems

I am looking to get a Fuji camera to use with lenses with extinct mounts. I have a lens in exakta mount that can be adapted to Pentax, and one in icarex mount that can't be adapted. I wish Pentax made a mirorrless camera so I could use one system, but it seems like if I want to use those lenses (and I do! Carl Zeiss Ultron has the most beautiful bokeh I've seen), Fuji is the way to go.

As to why Fuji and not Sony, for example, I can't really give an wise answer. I came across a cheap Fuji XA-1 and that's how it started. I would like to get an XT-1 or XT-2 now...

I guess they are worried about announcing something and then not being able to deliver on time likely the lenses, and then being criticized for it. But not saying anything is not a great approach either.

There are some discussions in Russian on how to fix the lens, but they all seem to be centered around what to do with the insides. In the 5 minutes that I spent looking at it I haven't seen a question about which screws to remove.

These guys say they fix the lens (?????? ?????????? ???????? ????????????? ????? ??????????? ? 135mm f/2.8, ????????? ????????? ????? ??????????? ? 135mm f/2.8, ?????? ????????? ? ??????, ?????-?????????? ? ? ????????? ?????? ??????? ? ????????.) and there is also a short video which could be useful

Good luck!

Sold K35... It's a nice lens in a great condition. I bet I will regret selling it... I am finding that more often than not I am gravitating towards the 43-77 combo, and add Irix 15mm when I need something wider. With 4 systems many lenses don't get used...

You are right, the test pictures do look nice. It's also so small... You get a lot in such a small package. I just use Tair 133mm f2.8 when I need that focal length...

here is their official press release: Press Release: New EKTACHROME Films to Begin Shipping | Kodak

Happy it's here - I've been checking almost daily for some time now :) Too bad there is no 120 format, but at least I'll have an excuse to dust off my LX :) Of course, LX does not need an excuse to be dusted off, but if there had to be one, return of Ektachrome is a great example.

I'd be interested in a mirrorless. Most likely my next camera is going to be a mirrorless and I'd like it to be a Pentax
