Sorry about another repeat:

I think that sums it up Gene, as good or bad as it is, ObamaCare is a Democrat plan. And has the full support of Obama. That's just the way it is.

A tough question, and probably best dealt with in a thread of its own. But I would hazard a guess, with the 3 advents of a private national bank.

Also, a perfect world seems ever elusive.

No, I don't wish for anarchy. It certainly is a jump to say that our current sick systems only Capitalist alternative is anarchy.

And I disagree that well practiced Capitalism comes with no rules and is akin to anarchy.

What I do appreciate about your comment though is you hinted at asking, "what then, am I advocating". But then slipped into telling me what I was advocating.

Do you think then, that "every President in recent memory has attempted to expand executive power" is then an expresion of an increasing fascist tendency?

For me the label is only to convey Communism. And as such, is not really correct, but it conveys a meaning none the less.

I'll quit using it, so we don't have to continue arguing about what the meaning of the word "is" is.:p

I don't believe for a minute this funding will be cut. Obama had to position some cuts in the bill to make the accounting part of it equal out. It is just an accounting gimmick.

Now it is being used by the Republicans against Obama and the Dems. Purely a political move to scare seniors, and taken straight out of the Dems playbook on how to scare seniors and gain votes. Pathetic!

The Occupy movement is desiring a heavier level of socialism, and that has been referred to here as Neo-Marxist (for what that means?- just a reference to the new way Communism is being implemented).

The Occupy movement is Communist and is marching us straight into are current morphing!

Socialism in the regard you speak is about the degree or level of socialism existing and whether it is increasing, decreasing or staying the same.

America was founded upon classical liberalism and those who are conservative constitutionalist's (not conservative Republicans/Federalists) greatly lament the rapidly increasing socialism being thrust upon the USA.

Whether or not you think increasing socialism is a good thing is up to you. But to say one needs to sit idly by, quit discussing/complaining and let it happen because socialism already exists (too a particular level) is ridiculous. One can fight back and desire a different USA then the one we are living in and morphing into.

The Neo-Marxist world that we are moving right into can and should be rejected by anyone desiring liberty. Opposing this legislation is just one small step toward that end. As is opposing Obama and ~90% of the Dems... ...and, believe it or not, ~90% of the Repubs.

I think that sums it up Gene, as good or bad as it is, ObamaCare is a Democrat plan. And has the full support of Obama. That's just the way it is.

You can tell the truth until your blue in the face and it won't make a difference. The opinions of some are stuck in a mess of illogical arguments.

Here is another good example of stuck opinions. A waste of time to discuss anything political, it won't go anywhere...

I've noticed it's been this way since I became registered (3 years +). It just takes you by surprise when you actually realize it's not a fluke but the norm.

[ad hominem (Latin: "to the man"), short for argumentum ad hominem, is an attempt to link the validity of a premise to a (negative) characteristic of the person advocating the premise. The ad hominem is normally described as a logical fallacy, but it is not always fallacious.]

Some of those here look to the left and blame them, most of those here look to right and blame them. Few people look elsewhere (as is true throughout the country). Divide and conquer it is...

America has been divided and nearly conquered! The left blames the right and the right blames the left, what a joke!

The American people have a vast willingness to work hard and achieve good things, but it is being stamped out by the current overriding structure of economic practice. Try and start a business and you'll be lucky if you're not bled dry in time and money by regulations, fees and taxes. People need opportunity not obstacles. They need to be allowed to compete at anything they desire (within reason of course). America is fraught with monopoly (bi-tri-quad opoly) in nearly every major industry and these monopolies are protected by government with regulation/laws. Examples: Not a single mildly successful new car company in America since the 30's; that's just ridiculous! Cell phone industry: open to all in 1995 and quad-opoly nearly sealed by 2005; Also ridiculous! Energy: Buy your electricity from the Co-op 3 miles away because the cost is half. No way, you are on the wrong side of a line. Ridiculous again! The list of examples like these is huge and keeps growing. If you think these things are the result of capitalism, I wholeheartedly disagree (but I'll leave that for another topic).

Opportunity being stamped out has left us in an unsustainable economic condition, and one by one, people will figure out America's debts are unable to be paid. In 1960, America was one of the richest nations ever, by 2000 (40 years) we had become the most indebted nation ever in history (and in 2011 it's much worse). This does not happen this quickly without a systemic problem. The systemic problem in America has both the left and right to share the blame, and it doesn't matter which side they're on. The sooner a majority of people figure this out the sooner we can save our country. You can continue to rat out the other side as the problem, or you can begin to think differently (while still acknowledging there are problems from both sides).

The American people need to stop blaming the left and the right and realize what is really going on. Big business is in bed with the lawmakers and there protection is at the top of government agenda (and more debt is at the top of the federal reserve agenda). Open up opportunity and fair competition and in 20 years we'll see an America that's hard to imagine, don't do this, and in 20 years we'll see an America that's hard to imagine.

Those from other countries are too vast and YMMV...

Numpty (plural - numpties):
A reckless, absent minded or unwise person
A person who never has or never will have a f*ing clue what he is doing
An idiot, a silly person
A scottish term, short for numb-skull. Idiot
Dialect, chiefly scots. A bumbling fool or one who is intellectually challanged.
A person so stupid they are incapable of understanding the simpliest of things
Huh?

I believe what is meant is only the K-5 has the "colorimetric sensor", and the K-7 even with the new 77 zone meter does not have the "colorimetric sensor".

K-7 with SAFOX VIII+ (no colorimetric sensor?) and 77 zone metering.
K-5 with SAFOX IX+ (with colorimetric sensor?) and 77 zone metering.

I'm disappointed you don't prefer my critical voice at this time...

I've not read anywhere (and I may, but don't believe I have missed it) where Christine stated or implied anything like; Wow, I really could benefit from a fix to the focusing system. If she said something like that, it would then be more clear to potential new buyers what is going on with the focusing system and what they're getting if they purchase the K-5 now and a fix doesn't come. As it is, new and potential owners are not sure what to believe and may make a poor choice in deciding whether or not to buy/keep the K-5.

As an example; (From thread: What is this %$&#?* (No. 1)? - post #36)

This owner, amid the confusion is taking a wait and see approach. This coupled with the valid possibility of no fix happening, is in my opinion, probably the wrong choice for him. Yet, this is what he is now choosing to do. My only point is to provide as clear as possible information to anyone wanting information. As it is now, the information could use some clearing up.

If the focusing system is truly fixed with a firmware update, then clarity with the issue is resolved and all buyers and owners can obviously set this issue aside in their decision making process. But the hour is getting later and the owners/buyers are still waiting...
