I've red a lot of it and how people will love this and never will go back. I sure need to check this out but how do you use it?
Do you continuously hold the back AF button while pressing the shutter release button? Or just once and then the srb?
Is there any info here on the PF???

Ok, I'll try to set the camera more often in AF-C when shooting burst.
But here are some examples from two shots I've taken with the K-5 II and both DA* lenses.

First picture was taken during the WorldWidePhotoWalk on 1st october this year.
I'm pretty satisfied about the quality at ISO800 and f2.8 altough maybe a bit less noise would be fine.

The second picture was taken with the DA* 50-135
Again pretty satisfied but would like to see more detail in the hair parts and again maybe a bit less noise but not bad taken in account it's at ISO6400.

Please any comments are welcome.
Again, maybe I'm expecting just to much from this combo or do I need to process it different in post?
I can provide the RAW .dng files if neseccary..

Ok, i think I need some help here to get my successrate up :-)

Here's the thing...
This summer I bought a second hand K5-II with just a few clicks on it. (2500 to be precise)
The main raeson to buy the K5-II was to gain more sharp images in low light with higher ISO levels.
I also have two DA* lenses, the 16-50 and the 50-135. (Also both purchased secon-hand)

But now I struggle to get consistant results with the K5-II and the two DA* lenses.
Sometimes, there's an image that is spot on and tac-sharp. Unfortunately most images are at leats a bit soft at the edges and some are even blurry / out of focus.
I mainly shoot in burst-mode (hi speed) with the focus settings: AF-S / Single Point focus (Centre point)

I've allready have let my two DA* lenses calibrated (Micro Focus Adjustment) on the K5-II body by a professional company.
The 50-135 had a little adjustment of +4 while the 16-50 was maxed out at +10 and even needed a little bit more.
My 50-135 lens has the original SDM motor still working fine while the 16-50 has been converted to screwdrive focus.

If you want I can post some example pictures of the blurrie ones.
Or maybe it's just me expecting to much but when I take a look at the photo database and select the same camera and lens combo, I see some amazingly sharp pictures with details in hairs I've not seen with my pictures. (Like the Tiger with the K5-II and 50-135 @f2.8 / ISO800)

Any tips or suggestions to get my focus more consistance???

Hi all

Not new to Pentax but new to this international forum.
My first Pentax DSLR was a K200D (around 2007) and since this year the K5-II.
Pentax lenses I own are the DA 12-24 f4, the DA* 16-50 f2.8 and the DA* 50-135 f2.8.

Hope to learn a lot from this like I do from the Dutch forum as well :-)
