micromacro Thanks for the tip. I ordered 1, 49mm size and a MeFoto 49mm polarizer.
Got $10 off from points accumulated and got them both for a total of $14.89 shipped. I know that's
there's better filters out there. But it is a start for not much money. And they fit 5 of my lenses.

Congrats, You might also think about looking in the forum marketplace when you get your lens.
I have bought a couple there and saved some money. Also the DA35 f2.4 and the DA50 f1.8
are a good value and great performance. Have Fun!.

Congrats bigdog! I have a Red K-50 too. My first DSLR. Its been a lot of fun and a great DSLR to get started with.
I have had it out in light and medium rain. The weather resistance is great feature, especially at this price.
Can't wait to see some photos. Have fun.

50mm lens

I bought my first DSLR in March - a Red Pentax K-50 with the 18-135 WR lens
and the 35mm F2.4 to go with it. It is an excellent beginning DSLR. I don’t
need to mention here its great features. But also another deciding factor
in choosing the K-50 was Pentaxforums. It was the combination of a wealth
of information and a friendly forum community. The 18-135 WR is a useful lens
and I enjoy that I can go out into the rain with it among other things. Admittedly I am still
getting used to the 35mm F2.4. I believe the 50mm F1.8 would compliment it very nicely.
With having some extra reach and helping me learn using primes instead of a zoom. In
the interest of disclosure, I have bought a Takumar F 70-210 from a fellow pentaxforum member.
As of writing this I will receive it in a few days. The 50mm f1.8 would help round out my kit and
would be a great help in learning to take pictures with a prime lens. Below is a photo I took with
my K-50 and the 18-135 WR lens of one of my great nephews at my niece’s graduation party back in May.
If I am fortunate to win this lens it will find a permanent and good home.

Not to cause trouble, but I was just able to use the code and get 2 year renewal for $9.98.
So it still worked for me.
